Question

A few questions, Dr. MAS, if you would be so kind. You said, on another thread:

Quote:
Just for the sake of writing the post. I feel that homeopaths are doing practice in some other way in their clinics and they have different approach on the net. When they are treating the patient.
With all due respect, do you not agree that on the internet it is harder to get your ideas/points across? There is no means of expressing oneself through voice inflection, gestures or otherwise. Therefore, it is much harder to "see" a case? People may appear to be acting differently than what they do in person, but how can we be sure until we meet them?

How can we be sure, in the first instance, that various homeopaths are prescribing differently than they would in actual life?

Also, doesn't the internet require a different form of case taking?

Which leads me to my next question ...

You also said:

Quote:
They used every method of treatment but when they talk on homeopathy. They talk according to so called philosophy which have no practical value. That is why our homeopathic system is not recognised in most of the modern world.
Surely, sir, you do not believe this is the sole reason for the lack of recognition that homeopathy receives? It may be one (of many). After all, homeopathy has been a divided field, ever since the time of Hahnemann.

Also, many homeopaths are reluctant to prescribe over the internet, thus reducing discussion to philosophy/theory (as I am doing here). One of the reasons could be because it is harder to "observe" a case over the internet. Lots of information could be missed. People, certainly in the some of the places I have lived, are not always aware of their own mannerisms, character, etc. A homeopath can observe this when dealing with someone face to face.

Case in point. It was interesting to note how when a homeopath in India asked his patient "What is your character?", the patient was able to answer quite eloquently on his own personality. You'd be lucky to get a one word answer out of some of the people I know. A homeopath would have to be a keen observer of human nature to get that sort of information out of these people. How can they achieve this over the internet, though?

Doesn't internet/email prescribing demand another form of prescribing then? One that is determined by what information the patient allows us to have?

What are your thoughts on this?

You also said:

Quote:
They can not stand on one point. Every body has different approach in homeopathy. They will prescribe on different method but will not accept on forum. I am against this type of method.
Please see my questions to you on the renal failure thread [oops, that should be Homeopathy - Art or Science thread], i.e. if there is no rule, how then can anyone say they are doing homeopathy? What, then, defines homoeopathy?

Dr MAS, I would be grateful if you could answer these last two questions on the other thread.

I ask these questions in the spirit of learning and understanding.

Simone,

Do you want to say that there are many methods of prescribing in homeopaathy. Prescribing on Internet is another addition in method of prescribing in homeopathy.

Dear Simone,

After the medical camp Dr.MAS went to Islamabad for attending B.Ed workshop as he is lecturer in AIOU University, Islamabad. He was standing at the podium near dais. All of a sudden his foot glided and he fell down on the floor from quite some height. He developed swelling on his right foot. When X-Ray was taken. It was revealed fracture of metatarsal bone. He was admitted in hospital with POP. But now he is at home.

I am his close friend and secretary. I know his all email addresses and password (even some members also know). As Dr.MAS is the official Web Doctors Coordinator at www.homeoweb.net . Which is also his homepage. For the time being I am operating all his addresses as Secretary to Dr.MAS . I hope within two week of time, he will be available on the net.

I copied and printed all his emails and posts and forwarded to him. Due to the code of ethics, I am not replying through Dr.MAS user name.

Simone! I know that you are very much conscious about your emails. In my opinion these questions will not create problem for him. He is the only man in Pakistan and abroad, which has done four year DHMS, Four year BHMS and one year DHMCS course from recognized university as regular student and got Gold medal.

He is the fan and promoter of homeopathy in Pakistan. One cannot imagine his services for homeopathy. At least 10 National and international seminar are in his credit beside so many workshops, conferences, free medical camps and symposiums. He diverted many allopath into homeopathic practice which his main achievement. I had practiced allopathy for 10 years. One day I saw Dr.MAS in a seminar. He convinced me about homeopathic system of medicine. If I am in the field of homeopathy then it is just due to Dr.MAS. I developed friendship with him and now he is the Incharge of homeopathic medical board.

I will send you the secret website address (after getting permission) in which about 100 pictures are pasted about his life. He enjoyed discussing on internet with fictitious names and pictures. I do not like this method. I occasionally come to internet for some important job.

I was not interested to tell you all these things. But after watching bumping again and again. It was necessary.

General Secretary P.H.S
