I have a 6 week old fosterson that has to begin his imunizations in two weeks. I have no say in this, and although I would rather wait, I can not do so. Are there any remedies that I can give before and after to help him go through this in a gentler way. I am very concerned about side effects and reactions to the shots.

Giving homeo remedy without any cause is not the proper way of treatment. However if you are interested you can give Phos 1M single dose, which is valid for one year.

This situation must be very frustrating for a foster parent.

There was a topic on this in the archives. I think it was Barb who suggested that it is possible to draw out the vaccine using a poultice as soon as possible after the injection.
Obviously that is not ideal, since mostly it goes into the bloodstream but it's better than the whole lot going in.

Sometimes sulfur, sometimes silica, sometimes thuja, and other remedies - it depends on the child. If he is in perfect health at the moment then there is not much to do homoeopathically, other than to find a good local homoeopath to whom he could be taken should post-vaccine symptoms arise.
If there are a few things about his current health that are not quite ideal then you might take him for a remedy a few weeks prior to the injections, so that he is in optimum health for them, and is therefore in a condition less susceptible to their effects.

No, it wasn't me who suggested it but I do recall someone saying that using a poultice of fresh cut garlic (must be done immediately) will draw out much of the poison - oh, I mean "ingrediants".

Lisa Annan, THanks so much for resonding. It's great info, but because this child is a foster child, we have no option but to immunize. We haven't done so with our own, but there really doesn't seem to be a way around it with foster children. As far as the health dept, I believe here there is record of any and all services they provide. As a matter of fact one of our other foster kids had been immunized by the health dept in his home county. I needed copies and sent the release to the office and they sent me a copy of his records. Strange we're so backwards in so many ways (here in WVA), but not this. I would still like to get any info you have about avoiding immunizations for our other kids. Our daughter has wanted to go to an overnight camp for years and hasn't been allowed because she's not fully immunized. Even though it's not against the law, they sure make life difficult. I can't get them to understand that if these shots work the only ones at risk are our kids and that we're willing to take that risk.
So since this poor baby will have to be poked and pricked I'd like to help him our in any way I can with remedies to make his experience the least traumatic as possible.

I'm not sure what to tell you about your foster child. I could say - fight for him/her. And I mean - fight to the point that you hire a lawyer - one that is sympathetic to people who understand the dangers of vaccines. Challenge the system in this way - by putting the onus on the state to PROTECT this child rather than subject this child to the inherent dangers of vaccination!!

But, I don't know how far you are willing or capable of going. The fact is - we have to be practical to a degree in what we take on.

I posted an article on this thread which tells how to legally avoid a vaccine. It may work with your foster child. Visit the site - and try to find an email or a link to get legal advice -- perhaps the person who runs that site will know more info that may help you defend this child.

I gather it is really a matter of understanding the laws in YOUR state - and writing the appropriate letters which basically challenge those (who are saying that so and so needs to be vaccinated) to agree to be responsible for any damaging affects. Most back down when it comes to this - because they KNOW there is inherent risk and they don't want to be sued in the even something goes wrong (mildly or otherwise!!).

Basically it is a matter of lining up your ducks. Getting info together that arms you so that you carry out each step to the letter of the law.

Listen, here's what you do: You buy Ledum 30C--this is our main remedy for animal bites and not so coincidently, our main remedy for vaccine side-effects prevention. You give it twice the day before, 3 times the day of the vaccine, three times the day after, and 2 or 3 times the day after that. Now, the only exception to this rule would be if something specific happens; for instance, convulsions after vaccination, Silica is listed in "bold" and is the only remedy listed. For diarrhea, again, Silica. Fever with backache and headache, again, Silica; nausea--you guessed it, Silica. If you hear the "brain cry"--high pitched scream--Apis is the remedy.
