Dear Somer,
Sorry--I thought you were an expert at this. Don't worry about homeopathy during pregnancy--worry about the vitamins and other supplements you're taking, as they may be causing the whole thing! I remember when I was pregnant, I had to stop nearly all my supplements, as they were making me feel very sick. I suggest you stop taking supplements for a while and see if your health improves. Meanwhile, Buy Sepia 30C. Plop a few pellets into a half-filled small Evian bottle. Shake the bottle, take a sip. A few hours later, if you've seen no results--good or bad--succuss the bottle 10 times (that means pound into your opposite palm, in order to raise the potency) and take another sip. After a few more hours, if still no results, succuss again and take another sip. If after 24 hours there is no improvement, assume the remedy is not going to work, and move on to Ipecac or Mag-Carb., with a new bottle of spring water, and try again. If any of the remedies seem to aggravate, don't repeat, but wait. The aggravation may be temporary and an improvement may follow. If none of these three work, we'll delve deeper into your case and try to find more rubrics, or ask you more questions. Good luck, Snoopy |

HI Somer,
If I remeber rightly, you were a Kali Phos constitution and your husband a Kali Iod, Right? Till you can discover what will help you with the hyperemesis, you couald take a dose of Kali Phos 30 and eveluate how much of the nausea is removes with that. Also earlier on another thread, Symphoricapus Racemosa was very effective. Its is a specific for Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Take a look at that thread if you can find it. Maybe Lisa or someone will dig it out for you. AND Congratulations on your pregnancy. I'm delighted to see that you're happy and adjusted about it. Regards. doctorleela

I have noticed that my nausea is worstened when I have to go somewhere, indicating that it is heightened by anxiety. I am more worried that I am going to throw up while I am out and I am stressed about being in public while feeling like the walking flu case.
I have not take kali-phos for some time. It stopped working for a while back and I moved on to Gels 30c. I took it for about 6 days and I was attack free, until now. I took the kali-phos today per your instructions, but I am not getting a response. Is it ok to take the Gels whil I am pregnant? I am SOOOOOO nervous about taking something that would effect the baby. That adds to it all. |

Hi Somer,
IF you're symptoms are similar to the "attatcks" you used to have when you were relieved with Gels may be indicated. Its important to remember that in Pregnancy you'll react to remedies more eaily that otherwise because of the heightened sensitivity. For GEls I would also like to see thirstlessness, drowsiness or dullness, dizziness as concomittiants of the nausea. Regards, doctorleela PS; Somer I'm sorry I have not really looked at all your symptoms as I have been very preoccupied with a domestic problem recently. So I won't like to advise you on any medication. I just remebered a precious posting of your and thought I'd add my 2 bit. [ 28 January 2002: Message edited by: doctorleela ]</p>

Yes, it is definitely a good idea to take Gelsemium! Do you have a 30C? Put it in water.
Have I given these instructions before? I hope so! Yes, take the Gels. And it might be a good idea to order a 200C just in case the 30 ever wears off. Don't worry about Gels. hurting the baby if it's a help to you. Whatever helps you will help the baby--speaking homeopathically. Snoopy |

I have the gels and will give it a try. I got the sepia in 6x (the only potency I can come by in my unequiped stores here). Is that sufficient? I have tried it and have mixed results. I think it really depends on the extent of the nausea. For the most part the description for the sepia is right on, but then there are days that it is so bad that I have to call into work and I am so tired that I crash out for the day. What do I do for those days? They may get me fired!
Dr. Leeah (spelling), I am very tired, very dull feeling in that I do not get too excitable like my normal self, I am always dragging but just assumed that it is the "first trimester" thing. I am definately seeing the nausea worse when I am fatigued, which can happen from pulling off the covers, and when I eat. I have phenominal cravings, so many that I can't even count, and they range from sweets to salty and sour. Eating them, though, makes me immediately nauseated. I handle toast and pretzles without feeling like I am going to let loose. The drin of choice is peppermint tea. I have tried the ginger capsules here and there and it works a little, but I get such a disrupted bowel from it (gasy) that I stopped. There is no time of day that is better. It is all bad. From the time I finally get out of bed to the time I am trying to get SOME sleep. I would really like to not have to sleep in the upright position. I spend most of my days trying to judge if it is going to make me let loose or is it just nausea. Still not a lot of vomiting, though. As a matter of fact, just a couple of times in all. Lengthy, but hopefully descriptive. |
