My 4 year old has been diagnosed with asthma since he was under a year old. He usually has attacks when he gets a cold, like right now he is going through it.He has been to an allergist, and right now we are in the process of getting rid of our pets because he is allergic to them. (which has been heartwrenching) Anyways, i have just started to mention to my husband why don't we look into seeing a homeopathic dr. there is someone also who we know that did some studying of homeopathy. His response is he is not sending his son to a quack. It frustrates me because what we are doing now obviously isnt working. He does get better but it comes back! Not sure what i am asking maybe i just needed to vent.thanks Shannon

HI Shannon,
I'm sorry about your son's condition. ITs terrible to see a child wheezing. I think homeopathy has a lot to offer your son, especially if he is treated properly (with a constitutional similimum). Convincing your husband wuld be more difficult I think! Maybe if you did a bit of research and found out if there was someone who could give him a testimony of cure from asthma with homeopathy, as well as a good reference to a properly qualified homeopath, that should make him feel better about it. All the best, doctorleela

Another good idea would be to find a homeopath who is also an MD (although I don't particularily think this is the best way to go). Your hubby would probably be more accepting of the idea.

thankyou JVolkman and Barb, I am going to do my best at convincing him. He is a good man, i think it is easier to disbelieve what he knows nothing about. I myself am a little more openminded, i think!
thanks again |

ShannonM Is your Husband equiped with sufficient knowledge about Homeopathy to comment on its effectiveness?.Does He know that this system was founded by an Alopathic Dr?.Many of us comments on things about which we donot have even basic knowledge. I am sure if your husband just happens to know how these medicines are prepared and what part of actual substance is there in it He might reconsider his opinion about Homeopathy.
Arsenicum 6 C and Ipec 6 C in alternation with an interval of 1 hour are good to cover acute phase of the disease( If these medicines cover some symptoms as well ). Many time it proves a subsitute for inhailer. Other general medicines are , Natrum Sulph, Aconite, Antimonium Tart,Sumbucus Nagra, Balata Or. Astham is very much curable in homeopathy.
