it is possible some septi focus is there so the temperature runnig high it may be in urinogenital region or intestinal , just a guess a single dose of pyrogenium will clear the picture it may cure

Thank you again for your suggestions. This morning her temperature is still fluctuating but only a point below and a point above normal. Her stool is very loose but not accompanied by "brown water." She has regained her appetite. I have not given her another remedy since last night when I gave her the veratum album. Do her symptoms still suggest China, Gelsinium, Opium (not available) or pyrogenium? Or, should I just let it rest with remedies? I'm not sure what antidotes what and if there is a downside to trying them all at some point! What do you think is the best course for her?

If she has responded the way she has, I think your homeopath is doing a fine job, so you don't need to try anything else.

Dorothy has gone to this homeopath the first time , after self prescribing. We have been looking at the progress before this doctor came on the scene, besides the emotional support she has received.
I agree though that one should not undermine the effect of a local homeopath. I think I said so above in not so many words.

Dear Doctors,

Thank you so much for your responses. Yes, I will continue to consult this new pediatrician and keep her informed of my daughters progress. She does have a different style than the classical homeopathy I was used to before my homeopathist moved away. I just thought because of how kind you all have been that you would want to hear of the progress and culmination of this health crisis.

And, in case you do, my daughter's temperature continues to go up as soon as the sun goes down, but is under 102. She received the Gelsimium and within 1/2 hour was totally wiped out with her head on the table wanting to sleep. She says she feels cold.

After a week of being normal my daughter's fever has returned. It started last night at just 100 and was normal during the day. Tonight it is 102.6. She is fine and in good spirits, no diahrea, no cough, no runny nose, no pains - just sleepy and not hungry in the evening when the sun goes down and the fever goes up. Unfortunately, this happened on a weekend and her new pediatriacian can not be reached until Monday. Should I try a remedy or wait? I'm puzzled by the lack of other syptoms.

Well, the fever definitely has a periodicity to it. Could it be China anyone?

The fever is up to 103.5 now at 8:30pm.
