My granddaughter is going to be born in the next 24 hours..at the moment..the daughter in law is at home having contractions every 15 minutes. Was already at the hospital...earlier..they told her in next 24 to 36 hours. Her water hasn't broken yet. I want to offer her the puls200...but I'm afraid of what might happen..like she'd immediately go into hard contractions and the baby would slide right out at home. Could the puls do that....would it lessen the pain of the contractions or speed them up...Hey I need advice...never been through this before.
There is a chance she wouldn't take it anyway...but just in case she gets desperate if this is prolonged ....would it help that quickly or is it too late to take anything.I can't remember anything...every 15 minutes...doesn't that mean soon? |

Hi Carol,
Congrats and hang in there... I don't think a first time mom (is that correct ?) would have a baby slide right out at home - even if she's in transition (hard labor), there's usually time to go to the hospital - then there's the pushing phase too... How long has she been in labor so far ? First time babies do tend to take somewhat longer than consequent births, even if a beneficial remedy has been given. Perhaps someone else is still up and can answer your remedy question. Good luck and let your daughter-in-law do the work Claudia ![]() |

HI Carol,
If the contractions are coming regularly, with increasing intensity and the frequency is progressively increasing, you may not need to do anything at all. But if things are stalling and the intensity of the contractions are reducing, then definitely give her a dose of Puls. Also if she's not handling the pain too well and her mental state points to Puls, you may give her Puls to help her out. That may be another indication. But there may be other indications along the way for other remedies if things are not going too well. So you may keep posting, and I'll be checking! Warm regards, doctorleela PS; And you take a deep breath and RELAX!! ITs really exciting being a first time grandmom! [ 08 January 2002: Message edited by: doctorleela ]</p>

Oh Grandma - how very exciting for you. I looove the name Lily, wanted that name for my babies but hubby had other ideas.
My parents just went back to there home across the country- they come to spend christmas with our family and my girs are quite sad today because they miss grandma so much. There is something very special about a daughters relationship with their grandma. My eldest, who is six, just told her grandma that she is the best snuggler and cuddler in the whole world! I hope you enjoy your own chance at being the best snuggler in the world too. Again, congrats! Barb
