Hallo Juanca, and the rest

This little diagram helped me a lot .
It comes from the introduction to C. M. Boger’s synoptic key:

Modalities: (Causation, Time, temperature, weather, Open Air, posture, Motions eating and drinking, Sleep, If alone, Pressure, touch, discharges.)

Mind: ( irritability, sadness, Fear, Placidity)

Sensations: (burning, cramping, cutting , bursting, soreness, throbbing, thirst.)

Objective Aspect: (demeanor, restlessness, Nervous excitability, facial expression, Torpor, secretions, colour, odor.)

Part affected: (Organs, right, left)

If you arrange your symptoms of disease in this manner, it’s easy then to start with the topmost, being the modalities in your repertorisation.

To start a repertorisation with an eliminating rubric is a risky thing, and unless you are confident that the chosen rubric is complete, you run the risk, that the remedy most suitable is eliminated, and you have to go back and do the whole thing again, after finding out in the comparison in the Materia Medica, that none of your favourites are suitable to all the aspects of the disease.

In my own (10 year) experience I found that it is better to start with a big modality rubric to cut out, and when work your way through the rest of the symptoms.
Likewise I sometimes take the combination of 2-3 rubrics (by adding them and not deducting them) to cut out at the start, just in case, the one ore other rubric is incomplete.
I am usually happy to have it down to 4-7 remedies before I open the Materia Medica for the final comparison.
I hope this gives you a good idea how to approach this matter.
