I know what a herniated disk is, but what is a slipped disk? Also, disc herniations can usually be resolved with time and patience alone! Chiropractic and massage may reduce time a little in these instances. Realizing that homeopathy remedy requires a full history, is there a short list of the remedies that may help?

There is an article on Hans Weitbrecht's site about back problems.

I have seen mention made in various Materia Medicas of using Homeopathic remedies by injection. Does anyone have any insight on the practice of injecting Homeopathic remedies, what advantage there is in it, and can this be done directly into a vein? Is there any Homeopathic literature that could help with this?

Iscador therapy is a sort of homeopathic remedy given by subcutaneous injection. Not in the vein.
Iscador is essentially used in Cancer Therapy. Also homeoapthic remedies have been used on tips of Acupuncture needles for acute ailments by some practitioners. Regards, doctorleela

Thank you for your replies on this question of injecting Homeopathic remedies. I don't feel however that my question has been answered and would like to ask Dr. Leela or anybody else who may have some experienced information on whether Homeopathic remedies can safely be injected right into the bloodstream by an intervenous injection; or is this entirely out of the question because of an experienced proving that condemns such a practice?

ailanthus, hahnemann directed in cases of skin complaints against applying a remedy to affected skin in order to obviate the possibility of suppressing the skin disease by direct contact with the remedy.
by the same token, injecting remedies at sites of pain seems to me to be contraindicated. a correct remedy will work on the whole energy of the patient, setting to right the totality which then has an effect on symptoms. by applying the remedy to an affected site one risks a local effect only = suppression. |

ps. if you are thinking of a general intravenous injection, not at any particular location, then i would say there is no point - oral ingestion is fine and has the benefit of going through a natural channel. hahnemann never recommended injection of remedies as far as i know.

Thank you for your answer, Anna, but from what you say Homeopathic remedies must never enter into the bloodstream when taken orally. This does not at all seem plausible to my way of thinking.
Applying a remedy to a topical wound does not get to the root of the problem, this is true, but the remedy has to wind up getting into the bloodstream even by oral administration to allow healing to take place! Please correct me if I am wrong in this understanding of healing. |
