Hi Bettina,

Several things come to mind. First, I think it would be a good idea to start a new thread, since this one is so long. You can refer back to this one in your new thread so people can go back and look at it if they want to.

Secondly, I think it would be a good idea to retake your case as though it were truly a follow up office visit. You should let us know which of your original symptoms are still a problem and if they have gotten better, worse or stayed the same, which of your original symptoms are gone and if you have any new symptoms. This should cover mental, emotional and physical symptoms.

It would be very helpful if you could put a number by the symptom, from 1 to 10, with 10 being the worse. What number when you first started the Thuja and what number you experience now. I think that's the only way your case can be properly evaluated.

Dear Shirley,

Did you notice that Bettina answered that long questionnairre that was on Call Me Sam's thread?
I haven't read her answers yet, but is it possible that her answers cover the information you just asked for? Ricky printed out her answers and they're 11 pages long. I would hate for Bettina to have to start all over again.

Hi Snoopy,

Yes, I saw that. What I would especially like to concentrate on are the current symptoms and how they differ from those she had before the Thuja. I'd also like to see some rating of the symptoms (1-10). I realize that a questionaire allows one to be 'comfortable' that nothing was missed, but I always get the sense that I'm reading the case of the person who created the questionaire instead of the person whose case I'm trying to get. It might be useful as a checklist after the person has given his case, if he/she is not forthcoming, but Bettina is very good at telling her symptoms.

Also, I'm wondering what people think about using LMs. Bettina may make faster progress with them. I think she would be a suitable person for their use - she is smart, consciencous about her regemins and is sensitive to changes in her physical and emotional states.

Dear Shirley,
dear Snoopy,
dear Ricky,
dear Shashi,
Ladies and Gentlemen,

this evening when I return home I will start a new thread with my 'follow up office visit' to all your offices. I will start without re-reading the questionnaire and I will include the rating as described - now at last I finally understood what this rating is supposed to look like. I do not mind starting over again, I am deeply and truly grateful for being allowed to be here and for all the help I have received so far and I will do anything that you ask for happily and as good as I possibly can.

I read "LM" and "faster progress" OH YES! PLEASE! I would like to cry out, I would do anything for faster progress.

And I do find myself in an acute situation today. The abscess now really hurts with every little movement I make and at the same time the period seems to be coming - with pains in my abdomen, not much visible yet. And honestly, at present my first priority from my perception would be to get rid of the abscess pain as fast as possible. (I am not doing anything against it so far. A year ago I would have tried Hepar Sulfuris C 30 and Silicea C 30 alternating one in the mornings one in the evenings - this is how I was then instructed to proceed in such a situation.) I would wish to get rid of the abscess as fast as possible, because I know how very, very painful it can develop to be ... and at present I cannot imagine going through that and a period both at the same time.

I will return this evening (it is almost 15:00 hours here now).

Thank you so much

Bettina

I have a sense that the Thuja is no longer working, so does anyone see a problem with Bettina following her previous instructions for dealing with the abcess?

Bettina, when you present your symptoms, for all symptoms please give the modalities, i.e., what makes it better or worse, and if there was a definite onset, what the triggering factor was if you know it. For physical symptoms, please give the sensation, location, extension, if there is any, concommitants, i.e., symptoms that occur at the same time and any alternation of symptoms.

Thanks.

Also, David Little's site has a lot of information about the LMs if anyone is interested. He also describes how to use them. Under Philosophy he compares the 5th & 6th edition of the Organon and the various potencies. Under case management, he gives instructions for making and using the LM potencies in Solutions large & Small. His site is http://www.simillimum.com/Thelittlelibrary.html .
