What exactly can a certified Alternative Medical Practitioner (AMP) do in United States?

There are 3 web sites on Internet viz.
(1) http://www.aadp.net/
(2) http://www.joinaama.com/
(3) http://ahha.org/

I wonder whether anyone is familiar with these sites. These web sites provides certification for the above practitioners.

Can someone help me in understanding what jobs are available after one gets certified from the above associations?

Question

Doctorleela,

It seems you are from India. Can you provide any information as to what a Homeopathic practitioner (Bachelors of Homeopathic medicine and surgery) from India can do in Wisconsin, United States?

As Jvolkman mentioned each state's licensing board determines that state's license requirement and this varies from state to state, where one can find information about what a Homeopathic practitioner can do in Wisconsin, United States? I am completely aware that Homeopathy can never and will never be allowed to practise in United States, and nor I want to go in greater details.

Are there any medical fields available that a Bachelors of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery can do in order to work in WI, United States? I am looking for a quick start, not doing Physician Assistant, or MD that takes 100 PLUS years to complete in this country (USA)!

Today it is 55 in minnesota. two days ago it was almost zero. It will be warmer tommorow and colder next week. We can't figure out whats going on. Last winter it snowed almost every few days. Its only snowed twice this winter.

Minnesota passed laws for alternative health care when a woman naturopath was brought to court on charges of practicing medicine without a liscense. She won her case....

It is important to point out to Dr. Rayvid that homeopaths have to create "their own jobs" in North America.

It is not like India, where homeopaths may apply for positions in hospitals or established clinics, or fill positions as teachers in universities or colleges offering courses in homeopathy. Homeopathic schools do exist, but they are still small in scale and do not offer large possibilities for employment.

If you are an entrepreneur, you will do well as a homeopath in North America--this is because you will have to open your own practice and teach privately to interested lay people. Many homeopaths do both on an ongoing basis. I know several who run their own practices and teach homeopathy in a number of homeopathy schools. Others teach to groups of interested people who pay for introductory courses or first aid courses. Most homeopaths I know run their own practices and do something else part time to supplement their incomes until their work in homeopathy takes up much of their time.

We are still in the process of educating people about homeopathy here. The more people learn about us, the more widely accepted we will be as a treatment method. That is why teaching--to the public, who may or may not have much medical background--is so integral to establishing your practice here.

Angry

Nobody has ever contacted me for this request neither Homeopathic Researchers nor any Presidents .

Nobody even bothered to reply to my letter.

These organizations are useless in the United States.

Please see my post on the practices in the different states. It's in Dr. Bhatia's thread " Some Questions". Various certifications as opposed to licenses come into play in states where licensed physicians can delegate to someone with proper training. These certifications allow the physician to assure himself that the person is properly trained. They do not give a person the ability to become licensed, but they do provide the comsumer with some assurance that the person is trained. That said, the certifications do not always or necessarily assure that the person is a good homeopath.
