merl, good to hear you are on the right side of the experience.
i think now is not the time to experiment with remedies. now is the time to recover by your own energies gaining stregth until you can consult a good homoeopath in person.
the merc appeared to cover your acute symptom picture after the surgery, but i see no indication for it on your recent post.

Anna,

Somehow you misunderstood when it was that I took the Merc Viv. It was last September. At that time my "in person" homeopath agreed that it might be my constitutional and she was going to try it if what she had in mind didn't work. She tried many potencies of Nat Mur. All with no effect.

This morning the picture changes again.

It is clear that thrush is reappearing. This is very frightening as I have only about 24 hours from now before the symptoms are so bad that I'll probably have to restart the Nystatin or call my doctor for a gentian violet treatment. Either way, I could very well be looking at another two weeks horribly sick in bed. This is going to be more than I can take. I think it will also be clear to my doctor at this point that I cannot come off the nystatin for a long time (the prescribed amount of time for this level of candida sensitivity is one year).

Needless to say, in 24 hours there is not enough time to get a new homeopath and begin treatment.

I just don't know now whether to take a 30C of Merc Viv (cause that's what I have and I'm treating an acute) or to try to get a 6C when the health food stores open.

Merc. is a "3" for thrush, and of course you should try it! Put it in water and take 3 times a day, succuss before each dose. If you get worse, stop taking it. In 2 days or less, you should see a difference.

Another thrush remedy is Borax.

Anyway, get back to us and let us know if Merc. is helping.

Can't offer homeo advice BUT can say with confidence that raw garlic cloves and oregano oil both have strong antifungal properties. If I were you I'd be consuming a head of garlic (you can juice it) a day and large doses of oregano oil. Oil of oregano and oregamax capsules can be gotten at GNC (I think).
