Hi,

Sorry for the 4 day break in follow up. With my wife in the hospital things were a mess at home.

Catching up on my daughter, I followed John's suggestion of "KALI SULPH" 30c on Saturday morning. I am not sure whether this has had any positive efeects - the general improvement from "PULS" may be continuing. I have been jotting down points to post over the last 4 days, here they are:

Cough-overall decrease in frquency. Dry
Sleep- Good, may wake up once to drink water.
This is a habit that I have too(father).
Thirst - Normal, drinks lots more water than before. Likes ice, popsicle, eats lots of ice cream.
Eating - The picky nature has reduced. But she has always been like this. Likes a particular food item, then eats lot of that over a few days and then starts hating it. Currently she eats doughnuts and turkey meatballs. Likes fruits. Today for lunch she had vegetables after a long time, ate it well.
Eczema rash-Itching has reduced again, but still looks dry with scabs.
Communication is quite good. She has been quite accommodating of her mother's illness. Cries a lot if I say no to something, but calms down quickly if I hug her and carry her around after that.
A habit that has increased in intensity is palying with my hair. Earlier she used to play with my hair if I was lying down or sitting down, now she wants to play with my hair even when I am standing (asks me to bend down).

I guess that is all for now,
Thanks
Bijo.

Hi,
The baby has been well most of the week. However, she seems to have developed a cold yesterday night. Sounds very congested in the morning.

The rash on both hands are now increasing again. They are still dry, but look more chapped than before.

Should we wait, or try something at this stage?

Thanks,

Bijo.

Hi,
The rash has now got worse. It is red, and itching badly, but is not weepy.

She eats very little for dinner now, but has a heavu lunch, likes milk, potato, vegetables, meatballs.

I had tried Puls 30c a week ago when she had cold and congestion. The congestion did decrease after that, but the rash continued to get worse. The improvement in the rash was after "PHOS" earlier, but that had worsened her behavior.

Following GM's and Johnstanton's suggestions, I have obtained "TUB", but only 200c potency. I have not got 30c so far. Should I try 200c?

Thanks

Bijo

Dear Bijo,

Is she experiencing any 'cold/cough' symptoms at this time ? (please explain)

What mode of behavior is she showing? (be careful not to attach too much opinion; but rather give true observation)

How is her sleep at this point? (please describe)

How is she dealing with new sibling? How is mother?

Please detail the characteristics of rash? Times itchy most? Better?/ Worse?? Color? Texture? ....etc. Anything??

How is thirst?

Dear Johnstanton,

Thanks for replying. She has a running nose, (clear discharge) no cough.

Behavior- Happy, keeps herself occupied most of the time. Likes to have books read to her, watches TV. Dislikes bathing, but comes without a problem when forced to. Eating is bad at home, good at the daycare center.

Sleeping - sleeps well now. Does not wake up to drink water these days. But find her scratching the rashes while half asleep.

She has not acknowledged mother's pregnancy yet. Her mother is improving, and she now wants more attention from her mother. Wanted to sleep with her mom yesterday, which she did. (This was her normal practice, stopped when mother fell sick).

The rashes are red, but not swollen or weepy. They used to be very dry and itchy a couple of days ago. Now they itch most of the time, we have not been able to notice any particular time. Getting worse daily.

Thrist is good. She drinks a lot more water than before. Likes apple/grape juice as well.

Hope this is useful.

Thanks

Bijo

Dear Bijo,

Is the skin, as you described in the september 27th post, the same? Black?? Thickened?? From scartching??

Does your daughter consume carbonated drinks? If so , then how often?

If your daughter drinks 'carbonated' drinks, then best to remove. Note: carbonated drinks can/will interfere with phos remedies,i.e phos,ph-ac, ferr-p,calc-p..... Also if phos is her remedy, then she has a suceptability to phos in other forms; skin may be being aggitated by the 'carbonated' drinks.

Dear Johnstanton,

The rash is currently quite similar to the sep 27th description, it is not as severe though. Thickened, but only beginning to turn black in places.

She normally does not consume carbonated drinks, but had a few over a short period two weeks ago. This may have been (I'm not sure) the time the rash started getting worse. She does not have them any longer as we don't keep them at home.

What do you suggest?

Thanks

Bijo.

Hi, hope you dont mind that i take over from here, John is indisposed for a while.
Give her one dose of pulsatillla c200, and wait, i fear kali sulp has supressed instead of helped. And its a hard one to antidote.
The rash returning seems to confirm that.
Report back after max 3 days, please.

Hi GM,
Thanks for the reply. I gave her PULS 200c as you suggested on Tuesday morning. I think her rash is now not getting any worse. But there are no significant improvements seen. It is not red now, but itches. Looks slightly better than what it was on Sunday - but still dry and thick. The back spots seem to be less.

Her behavior continues to be the same. Likes eating ice and popsicle. Eats and sleeps well. Water and juice intake has reduced, has mild constipation. Her mother is back in the hospital, she asks to see her mother occassionally, otherwise is pretty much happy with me. She is very active and playful at the daycare.

She still has a runny nose with clear discharge. No cough or congestion.

Thanks,
Bijo
