Boy, I hope you guys can help. No one else seems able to, yet.

I *was* preparing for braces, finally. Had moved to new area and found a um, xxx dentist who suggested "cleaning up" my mouth before braces. He took out 2 old merc fillings which had not been hurting me. Ever since, I have been in pain. The tooth #1(bottom rt molar) was really bad, sensitive to cold, hot and touch, flossing. Dull ache into jaw during day, deeper, shooting pains after supper, >7pm. They took that one out, and re-filled w/different plastic, but it is still very aggrevated. Tooth #2 (upper rt molar) is very similiar, just a little better on degree of pain. Could not get me numb to fill it; excruciating during drilling. They now suggest root canals for both, but specialist says no. Strong, anti inflam Rx works, but when i stop taking it, the pain returns same as b4. I'm not chewing anything very hard on that side.

The worst is tooth #3. Left upper molar. Had XL filling that had cracked. Didn't have $ to fix and let it go for a few months til I could pay. Opposing tooth had done same thing, cracking etc and I had it removed yrs ago. I only kept this b/c orthod wanted it, despite my concerns of it being the same as the opposing one. So I did the root canal. All was fine for 2 days, then extreme pain, throbbing, deep pains in the jaw. They tried an antib, but i was allergic. Stopped midway and followed up with nothing. When "permanant" filling was put in, I rec'd no novacaine and felt pain ("impossible") Ever since that, I have had increasing pain. Root canal guy took out that filling and cleaned out area, refilled. No sign of prob, but xray shows dark black line along side the outer part of tooth. He says those 2 roots are infected def. (reg dentist said no prob, 2 mos ago!). Been using an antibiotic, seemed to be working, then yesterday, it got inflammed again-- so I'm not chewing at all on that side. I only have 2 pills left. Trying charcoal plasters now and maybe a strong herbal cleanse.

Any ideas? Sorry that was so long. I'd appreciate any help you could give me. PS does anyone know if this is common to have so much trouble w/replacing fillings??

Thanks, you all. dAnne

First of all, you must understand that removal of mercury fillings need a simultaneaous dose of and antidote, otherwise you get pains. There are always particles that do not get washed out, but fall in the hole in the tooth. These can be too small to detect but they are there nonetheless.
Can you tell us wht type of pain you get in the evening, less or more? is the tooth excessively sensitive to touch? Does the pain make your mouth water? what taste do you have in your mouth?
I have a few ideas, but want to make sure.

Thanks for your quick responses.

The 2 rt side teeth were the ones aching more in the evening. Deep, shooting pains into the jawbones. Or dull, deep ache if anything cold, hot or req more chewing on that side. I have been taking that strong anti - inflammatory, Ketoprophen. And trying to wean off it. Now those 2 seem a bit better, no longer the daily pm flare-up but the general ache and sensitivity to any pressure remains (thus I don't chew much). Can't recall anything odd as a taste, nor did the pain make my mouth water.

What do you recc for an antidote when I go to get the other mercury drilled out?

The really bad one, the upper left seemed to get better after a wk of the new antibiotic then, suddenly got very inflammed a couple of days ago...so that it hurts(shooting needles upward toward the roots) even to touch tooth w/tongue...or finger.

Using garlic cloves against the gum and that seems to help some. But if I take a remedy I'll prob have to stop that, right? (too strong on the smell & oil areas??)

I'll see if I can get a hold of that remedy, GM (thanks). I'm in a pretty rural area. What do u mean by "wait"? To see what happens?
Sorry to ask silly q's, I'm still a bit new to this, though have used some homeopathy (symptomatically) with amazing results.

Thanks again, nice people.

Yes, wait to see what happen, it is not recomended to take more of it, as it can do only bad, either a prooving, or it slows down its action.Works about a mont, dont do anything if old symptomes, diseases reocures during this time, it show that the remedy works. It goes away by it self, new unrelated symptome to the picture, tells that the remedy is either wrong, or that somthing new is going on, that needs a new remedy.
As for antidotes of mercury, well, when drilling out those fillings, the dentist should use a cofferdam, and a heavy vacumesuction, and you tkae two charcoaltablets 15 min before this procedure, along with a standard drink of alchahol, it hinders mercury from being taken up in the blood and brain.

GM: thank you! Still trying to get a hold of that remedy; perhaps tomorrow I hate to be obtuse, but do you mean just an alcoholic beverage with the charcoal tablets? I have not drunk in many years-- just trying to clarify!

Ricky: thanks for your suggestion too. Was the nitric, 30C, 3x a day? This is still a bit new to me....

Well, I'll let you all know if this works and I can avoid the knife!

I appreciate your help,
dAnne

Yes, alcahol, one ordinay drink, rom, wiskey or what ever, it hinders mercurys acess to the bloodstream, and to the brain, when drilling in a filling, mercury enters gasform, and is inhaled, mercury goes in three forms, as solid, as liquid, as gas, after the temperature, check chemie, youll find out.
Mercury can and may be the cause to the many alcaholics, as your brain, only feels free from that poison when using alcahol, a possible explanation to weekend drinking as well.
