Dear Ens,

Forget "HEP". If already given , then o.k.

Is there any sweat with the heat of the fever?

Is he only coughing when sitting still or reclining?

His he still sipping at the water (even though he is playing?

You will notice if he is chilled. (just like being extremely cold).

Will he converse with you? How does he respond when being questioned? During heat of fever and while playing? (please distinguish between the 2)

Ask him right now , " How he is? " and "What is the worse part about this cold?" (please give me his exact replies to these questions) Do not ad-lib; Exactly as he says it; Fill in the tone and mode of expression , as you see fit.

Dear johnstanton, I have not given "Hepa" yet.

There is NO sweat, not even at night with high fever.

He was doing a choking cough while lying down. I think only when too much phlegm building up.

He has not asked for water since up and playing, but I asked him if he wanted some and he said "yes".

He has not been chilled yet.

When conversing during high fever he gets irritable and does not want to answere questions but does like to be touched, i.e. rubbing his back or forehead.

He is conversing fine now and still playing.

Questions:
How are you? "good"
What is the worst part of your cold? "My ears"
Why? "I don't know"
Do your ears hurt? "no"
Clogged? "no"
What bothers you about your cold? "my tommy"
Why? "It's hot"
Does it hurt? "no, it's hot"

He just feels warm all over and was annoyed with the questioning.

Dear Ens,

Yes, Give 1 dose of "BRYONIA" 30c or 200c. no more wait. Post response or lack of response. You can give this now (if you wish). Will not interfere with case.

I await your information; as to response of "BRY" (if you give it)

Hi Johnstanton, I can only get BRYONIA 12C. Is that OK, one dose only? Thank You, Ens

Dear Johnstanton, The following symptoms are right now.
He coughs to clear his throat only. Not much phlegm.

Lungs not congested. Nose completely clogged with runny nose (mostly clear liquid).

He is happy and talkative. Wants me to sit next to him. Won't let me leave. I stand and he askes me where I'm going. Sais don't leave.

Stomach still hurts, Achey everywhere but sais not as bad.
He's up again and wants to eat.

I just gave him the Bryonia and before he finished chewing it said he could breath through his nose! NOT PROMPTED. I said, "you can breath through your nose?". He said, "not any more". He has just eaten 2 bowls of cereal. More than he has eaten in days. Sais his stomach hurts. Will write back if anything happens. Thank You, Ens

I have picked up the Bryonia 12c and need one more confirmation to give it to him. One hour ago he layed down with the chills. Said he was cold and had chill shakes. That lasted about 15 minutes. He said he was cold but didn't want an extra blanket. He is lying down again with a 103 temperature. Says his stomach hurts and his wrist hurt. I think he aches all over. He has been drinking more water. My only concern with giving the Bryonia is that he seems to get better and worse rapidly. How will I know to give him another dose? Should I expect anything? And mostly, when do I know NOT to give him any more? Dreading tonight. Thank You, Ens

Dear Ens,

Stop when you ,as the observer ,feel he is responding (even the slightest).Chill is a good sign ; and if after "bry" (especially soon after), then sign "BRY" is giving response. If not sure, then repeat 3 hours after 1st dose.If pain came after "BRY" , then for next dose; Dissolve 3-4-5 pellets in 10-11-12 tablespoons of water. Stir vigorously.Give teaspoon dose.

How is his cough?

Congestion?

Any difference in mood?

How much grief is the pain causing?

Suspected this, tuberculinum would have taken it fast. But Bry is also ok,( esp necause of dry heat) lets see what happens next.
He may need it on a later stage, or we may see calcium carb emerge.

Hi, I didn't notice anything with first dose of Bryonia. After the 2nd dose I woke up 4 hours later (2:00 AM) and he had NO fever! His breathing sounded very good. Woke up (4:00 AM) his fever was back, 103 degrees. Another dose of Bryonia and Motrin. It's now 10:00AM and he has no fever and sounds very good. Still asleep. He drank water throughout the night. I will try today without Motrin and see how is fever is. If he gets hot again do I give another dose? or give a dose anyway when he wakes up? Thank You, Ens
