Hi

I posted a few days back about sore throat/asthma. That is fine. But for the past few days I have been feeling extreme nausea and today morning I started vomiting. Can someone please help me.

It started out with a lof of bloating/gas, with me belching air. I was constipated too. I took Nat-mur 200c on saturday night and I don't whether that did the trick, but the constipation is gone.

My first pregnancy was unexpected and I was very sick for the first five months. This one was well planned and I've been on prenatal for over 3 months (since I read some study saying that lack of certain minerals cause the hyperemesis).

Anyway I'm only 6 weeks now and I can't handle the nausea anymore. I tried nux_v 12c every 4 hours and i don't see any improvement.

Can someone please help me. What details do I need to give?

Thanks
Sarah

Ipec is the main remedy to try first. Let us know how you get on as there are other remedies.

Dear Sara,

1 dose of "CALCAREA CARBONICA" 30C. No more. Wait. Let remedy give response. Do not jump from remedy to remedy. Allow to work. Then consider next step. Do not want to "miss the boat" because of impatience.

John - Please could you explain to me why you think Calc is suitable as it is not listed at all in my bible for Pregnancy for this condition. Maybe you know something more about the constitutional remedy needed by Sarah from an E mail.

I'm sure lots of people have tried to reassure you that each pregnancy can be very different. Don't despar yet about having 5 months of it...! If it should begin to look like its going on and on, Symphoricarpus 200 (snowberry) p.r.n. has been found to work in stuborn cases that have failed to respond to anything else. Its main use is basically in persistent vomiting in pregnancy. Sight smell thought of food all of it. Give it a whirl if nothing else works. Let us know what works.

Dear Ricky,

No other information than what we both see.By reading Sarah's other post and this post , I sense the feeling of an 'anxiousness' towards her health; almost necessary.I used the rubrics "ANXIETY about HEALTH" modified by "HYPOCHONDRIACAL (reading MEDICAL BOOKS)".i.e. many remedies in short period. And notice how well she reacted to 'calc-p'. Also "CALC" is complimentary to "NAT-M" and follows very well; so as not to interfere with the flow (if there is one). Consider also her being pregnant (good for fetus also).

Sara , please excuse the terminology used in the "REP"; Homeopathic Reperetory language often appears more drastic than it really is and does require unbiased thinking (of course that is the challenge).

Sara, When exactly did you take the "NUX-V"? How many doses ?

Would say that NM potence 200 was too high,or to low, go down to 30, or up to M, if the nausea do not dissapear in 48 houers, go further down or up.
Do not think Nux was rigth as an antidote, it may not have antidoted at all,but only continue the agg, and if taken before the agg from NM has lasted 48 houers, a new agg is produced by Nux v.Antidote NV, and take NM c30, or pref M one dose.
Calcium may fit, but this is from wrong use of NM and Nux.

Hi,

I'm staying home from work and eating just dry toast and pomegranates. No nausea since the last 24 hours. The feeling of nausea is persistent. I'm having a lot of dry retching.
And a lot of saliva which i want to keep spitting out.

Out of the 6 pregnacies in my family (me and my sisters) five had severe hyperemesis lasting from 3 - 7 months. So when I though that the cycle was starting for me I got very psyched.

I took the nat-mur 200c on saturday night. And then nux-v 12c on tuesday night, monday early morning and then 4 hours later.

I'm a bit confused whether to take nat-m 30c or calc-c 30c . Does the above information change anything or point to one more than the other.
Thanks
Sarah

Dear Sara,

Yes, your information helped. You are still responding to the (3 doses ?) "nux-v" .
Also your statement , "...So ,when I thought the cycle for me was starting I got very psyche....", indicates that an anticipatory concern existed before remedies; and played upon by remedies.

Are you nauseaous now? Is the nauseaous really constant? or is there any time it does subide? How has the nauseaousness affected your hunger? Were you naseaous during sore throat episode?

Is your hunger constant? What do you mean by "...snack a lot..."? How often? Are you satisfied after each snacking ? or does the hunger remain? Does your hunger change from time to time? Any consistancy?
