Question

Hello fellow Homoeopaths

Your fantastic help is needed again. My hubbie is just about to embark on a trip to China, Korea and Japan. Any remedy ideas on protection against the "bird flu" that is doing the rounds at the moment?

Thanks

Sara

hi, it's not 'doing the rounds' so don't worry.

have you heard what are the symptoms of it, unaltered by medication?

Thanks Anna for your prompt reply.

Here in Oz the Chinese bird flu outbreak in China is fairly big news - however how much of this is media hype I'm not sure! The H5N1 virus is thought to be responsible for the illness. But unfortunately I haven't come across a description of syptoms which is obviously needed when thinking of remedies.

Thanks again

Sara

It's simple - don't touch raw or live birds!!! At the moment they think this is the only way it can be transferred. I know about the sisters of a boy that died from it have it but there is no proof that it was caught from the brother ratherthan live chickens.

Someday, humans will discover that you can't keep non human animals in horrid conditions, treat them with unbelievable cruelty, slaughter them with no thought to the fact they have feelings and suffer..... and then EAT them and not get sick. Everyone is so concerned with the danger to themselves. Have they looked at the footage and even wondered at atrocities to life these people are willingly committing, the pain inflicted on non-human animals? They expect health from eating tortured animal flesh? This on the heels of the recent horror of *disease* from eating cats......argh.

gpm I so totally agree, one of the reasons that I simply couldn't eat meat any more was when someone I know "rescued" a chicken that had fallen from a truck that was going to slaughter. This soon to be "food" was disgustingly dirty, full of every parasite known to man, scrawney and looked inches away from death already, honestly a pile of dog pooh looked more apetizing (and was probably "cleaner").

Thanks for your replies.

We have been veggies for a good fifteen years now - so keeping away from chickens won't be a problem.

Unfortunately the reports of the virus now jumping to humans are becoming more common. I must agree it would appear to be a case of "what goes around comes around"!

My husband has had regular constitutional treatment so hopefully that should stand him in good stead with whatever nasties are around. Will keep you posted on any further developments. If anyone comes across a description of symptoms please let us know.

Cheers

Sara

Hi Sara,

You could do a google search using "bird flu homeopathy" as search words.

To expand on gpm's thoughts, isn't it interesting how nature causes various species to respond to over population, over crowding, reduced food sources, unsanitary living conditions, etc., by the spontaneous appearance of diseases or behavior designed to reduce the population and thus ensure the survival of the particular species? In some species this is accomplished by cannibalization of the young, spontaneous abortion or cessation of fetal development until more favorable conditions obtain, but the goal is always the same - survival of the species.

Have you ever seen pictures of or read about the Xi'an bird market in China? Bird flu is a logical result. Civet markets in China - SARS. Factory farmed pigs - swine flu. Feeding a carnivore diet to herbivores - mad cow disease. Post-civil wars living conditions in Africa - AIDS.

As the old commercial for some product(I forget which) used to say, "It's not nice to fool with mother nature." Until such time as humans recognize this, we are doomed to more of the same, both for ourselves and other species with whom we share the planet.

Hi,

I don't know if what I am saying may be useful or not, but there it goes:

I have thought several times since the appearance of the Flu of birds in a Homeopathic remedy called Oscillococinum.

It is a remedy specific for Flu and is made with liver and heart of a dock called Anas Barbariae.
It is made exclusively by Boiron laboratory (they have the name registered, so no other laboratory can make it in the world).

Well, I know it is a non-proved remedy. it even doesn't appear in any Materia Medica book, at least on any of my Materia Medica books, but I know people who use to take this remedy when they get flu, not this special kind of flu of course, but in regular flu, and they use to get well rapidly.

Who know if it can also work in that disease?

The remedy is commercialized in a 200K dinamization.

Hope this can help.

Best wishes.
Dinis

Default How to prevent Avain Flu

i want to give information about Chicken Flu which spread by Wild Bird Flu.
one does need to protect the avians from the deadly bird flu virus .
you could get more information about birdFlu.
http://www.drugdelivery.ca/bird-flu.aspx
this is gaining epidemic proportions across asia and russia . sometimes it even infects humans too. These flu viruses occur naturally among birds. Wild birds worldwide carry the viruses in their intestines, but usually do not get sick from them.If not contained they might just pan across the whole world. so , all you bird lovers , beware and be cautious !
