Hey guys! look at what I found in my mailbox this morning! Truly amazing and very revealing.
MEDIA ALERT #1 FOR TUESDAY, AUG. 10: A MAJOR, front page, cover story article in USA Today about vaccines and autism. This article follows on the heels of last Tuesday's exciting cover story in USA Today about vaccinations. The picture for tomorrow's story will be that of identical twin boys, both normally developing until...you guessed it...now one of the identical twins is autistic. Truly, this picture will be worth a thousand genes! "This is the first of many articles, TV news reports, and feature stories on the vaccine-autism epidemic story that are currently underway or ready for airing over the next few weeks and months" reveals parent advocate Rick Rollens. The Congressional hearing last week along with the ABC National News piece plus all the hard work of many of you, has really got the attention of the media not only in this country, but throughout the world. "Go out and get your own copy of tomorrow's USA Today as early as you can," advises Rollens, "for if Merck does what it did last Tuesday at the Washington hearing (paid people $100.00 each to hold places in line at the hearing room to keep parents and others out), then who knows what they'll buy up to empty newsstands.">> |

Check out Salon magazine - http://www.salon.com - there is an article about the hearings. The author believes that vaccines are the greatest medical advance of the century and portrays those who believe otherwise as ignorant, anti-scientific fools who probably believe that the earth is flat. There are many references to the "right-wing" element that wants to question mandatory vaccinations, as if it's a political issue.

Unfortunately, healthcare choices HAVE BECOME a political issue. Especially in the state where i live.
There are not many options for those of us who do not practice the religion of ALLOPATHY. This prsonally relevant to me as i'm hoping to give birth at home in 3 months, and STILL can't find a LOCAL midwife to assist. There are currently two direct entry midwives on trial, and this is creating fear among the community. At this point, i'm considering an unnasisted homebirth (i'm 5 min. from the hospital, should trouble arise) Trying to find a LOCAL doctor is also a challenge, because many won't accept you as a patient unless you "believe in" immunizations, therefore in emergency situations there is noone to call on. |

The 'rescue squad' will immediately intervene with allopathic drugs and stuff up, if only becuse of their training. Birth is perfectly natural and is not a disease, that needs treatment. Just in case of complications, I will give you some remedies:
Rigid os: Caulophyllum, Gelsemium, Veratrum viride. Pains: irregular, ineffectual: Caulophyllum Chamomilla, Actea racemosa, Gelsemium, Pulsatilla, Secale. retained placenta: Arnica Caulophyllum Ignatia, Pulsatilla, Sabina, Secale. Breach: Pulsatilla is best. It stops contractions, and turns the baby. Then give caulophyllum to re-establish the contractions. |

Thanks Ben,
Birth IS a natural process, I don't understand why it has to be so complicated. Most complications are the result of intervention...I plan to avoid that. Thanks for the remedy suggestions, I will definately be more prepared. stClaire |

For those of you who have access to the USA Today newspaper, it was in today's paper (16 Aug.). It's on the cover of the Life section. I believe their website is www.usatoday.com.
