My husband was told he had an infected sweat gland and was given an antibiotic for it. He has trouble with yeast so this is not a good solution for him. Furthermore, it didn't do him any good since the infection has grown worse. He was given another antibiotic and told he has a cyst. He is being scheduled for surgery. I believe a good poltice would help but I have no recipes. Please help.

Can you tell me a bit more? where is the gland, and what does it look like? is it painful or not? And how does he feel about it? is he moody, angry, placid? what are is likes and dislikes for food - sweet or savory? what is his worst time of day? is there anything that gives him relief or what makes it worse? Often a bath with washing soda opens a cyst, so it can clean out, but that does not solve the problem - neither does a poultice, as it only is a temporary measure.

Ben, the gland is located on the back of his neck. It is very painful. It is also hard which is a little strange. He's not happy about it but it hasn't really changed his mood much. He likes both sweet and savory but reacts badly to sweets. (Yeast, and he has ADHD). I might add that he has Gulf War Syndrome so has had the myriad of skin rashes, allergic reactions, mood swings, etc., that go along with that. Thanks for the spelling of poultice - no wonder I couldn't do a good keyword search!! He is scheduled for surgery Friday.

It sounds like he has vaccinosis...which is another way of saying that all the vaccines he has had have damaged his ability to fight disease.

Why is he having the cyst removed by surgery? Cysts respond very nicely to homeopathy and his immune system is already so challenged, why risk another onslaught for a non life threatening problem?

All surgery is dangerous...reconsider and let us help

For starters the yeast problem, unless addressed, will just make more cysts and yet it is very easy to relieve without surgery or homeopathy!

What do you say?

I agree with Jarf, do not, repeat do not resort to surgery! If the gland is hard, is it stone-hard? Does it move under the skin?
Gulf war syndrome... Thuja gives in Clarke hardness and swelling of the glands in the neck. It is also the main remedy to correct vaccinosis. Is he amenable to touch? does he ever feel fragile, to the point of breaking? Does he feel that people see'through him' literally, as if the body is made of glass?

Jarf, how do we get rid of the yeast problem? He has had several cysts removed by surgery and they keep coming back somewhere else. The vaccines he received (anthrax, and whatever else the Army wanted guinea pigs to test, etc.) made him very ill! Is there anything to help this???? I have turned to Homeopathy because I am so very frustrated with the medical profession's (particularly the Veteran's Administration's) response to this situation.

Ben, the cyst is rock hard and doesn't move under the skin. And, from what I am told, it hurts!

Thank you for your responses.

I have sent you a yeast detox protocol which is very supportive of homeopathic work but rather wordy for the BB. If anyone else wants it just email me.

For those concerned about the negative effects/legislation/civil suits of vaccine (GWS etc) get on a list...it is amazing information. Here are a few web sites:

Can you tell me if he is a routine person, with fixed habits? There are many remedies to choose from. Has he ever been 'fed up' with life? If you tell me about his character soem more, that would help. Also, how are his energy levels? You can E-mail me direct, just click on the little icon at the top of my answer, if that is convenient for you.

I was planning to answer on the BB, but I thought such a posting with info would be very long.
