I am looking for a homeopathic remedy for an undescended testicle.

The boy is 4 and 1/2 years old. The attending pediatrician at birth
recorded that both testicles were descended. However when he was
checked at two weeks they were pulled up. After that, the left testicle came down, and is still down. When he was one year old, the doctor said he could
feel the right one, but since then it has not come all the way down into the
scrotum.

In the past year he had 2 episodes where he complained of pain in the right testicle and there was swelling for 10-15 minutes. I gave him chamomile 6c to relieve pain, which passed quickly. It seemed as if the testicle was trying to come down, but didn't make it.

After that, I wrote to this BB and asked for adivice. Patricia Keegan recommended trying clematis erecta 6c given 3 days in a row and waiting for results. If it appeared to be helpful, then to take clematis erecta 30c - 3 doses during 24 hours and wait. I gave him the 6c as suggested, but since I didn't see any changes, I stopped it. In 2-3 weeks the right testicle again started to try to go down and I gave him clematis erecta 30c (1dose).
There were probably 6-7 episodes during the last 2-3 months that he complained about pain in his right testicle that is still not down into the scrotum.
Each time clematis erecta relieves the pain. I gave him the 30c three times when he had these pain episodes, and after that started to give 6c during pain, but the testicle is still drawn up.

Now about the boy. He is well developed, slim, tall, healthy, energetic, very bright. he learned to talk and walk early. His head gets sweaty upon falling asleep. He likes to sleep uncovered. Upon awakening his nose is often stopped, and he complains of burning watery eyes. His eyes are sensitive to light, but his vision is good. Sometimes he complains that his skin is burning.

He doesn't like children, and is not interested in "childish" things.
His mental development is very good. In the last month he started washing
his hands and feet very often because he believes they are very dirty. He
doesn't want to turn the faucet off after washing since his hands will
get dirty again. However, outdoors he can play happily in dirt and doesn't
worry about his hands.

Sometimes I think that maybe he got a dose of mercury poisoning, since I got a lot of "silver" (mercury) amalgams in my teeth while pregnant, and nursed for over a year. Maybe the mercury came to him in my milk.

Anyway, I am very interested in your opinions on what can help his
right undescended testicle go down into the scrotum, and what can stop his
continuous urge to wash himself.

I will be grateful for any suggestions.

It looks like a sulphur case, when sulp has worked through, follow up with calc c, if not the testicle has descended.

I had treated many cases of CRYPTORCHIDISM with success with our remedies.Main remedies are Thyroidinum ,Aur met,Psorinum. The last two remedies used as intercurrent. If testes remain undescended for long time ,it will atrophy due to increased temperature inside.
In your case I think Syphilinum as intercurrent .It will take some time to cure.

I thank everybody very much for replying.
As I understand, GM's point is to find simillimum and this will resolve the problem of undescended testicle. After I read Materia medica , I have got a double feeling about sulphur. I really liked that it is written that " sulphur will stir the reactive force of the organism when well-indicated remedies fail to act in acute diseases or it will complete the action of acute remedies when there are underlying chronic problems". Maybe sulphur will help to finish the work started by clematis erecta to move his testicle down. Sure that my son's burning eyes, skin etc. stands for using sulphur. But from another hand there are some characteristics of sulphur that don't fit my son's habit at all. It is written that children dread being washed. But I can not take him out of bathtub and his washing of hands seems endless. It is written that milk disagree (he likes milk very much, though it is possible that milk is not good for him).Characteristics of sulphur are:difficulty thinking (his mental ability is outstanding), catnap sleep ( he doesn't take naps during day and sleeps through night).
I have a guestion to GM.How many doses, how often and in which potency to use sulphur? And how many pellets make one dose? I am puzzled sometimes to read on the back of a bottle with remedy "take 3-6 pellets". So, Is one dose 1,3 or 6 pellets?
One more time, thank you very much for your suggestion. Best regards. LK.

Now about Pannakkal's reply. Thank you very much for you suggestion. I just don't know what means intercurrent(?).
I looked in Materia medica on the remedies you listed and the most apealling to me is Aurum metallicum. The interesting thing that stands for aurum is that "in symptom picture of aurum are disoders resembling the symptoms of mercury poisoning affecting ... glands". ( I always think my son got some mercury from my amalgalm feelings during nursing). Also for aurum stands some characteristics, that fits my son:irritability, photophobia, oversensitive to noise, pain and swelling of testicles.
it happend, that I read today in Michael Weiner's "Complete book of homeopathy" an interesting case of study of undescended testicle. Unfortunatly, it does not document the symptoms upon which doctor prescribed.

I still continue to write to Pannakkal. I just run out of reply space for some reason. So this is a story from a book. "A boy, aged 12, had his left testis normally descended but his right testis was in the inguinal canal.Operation had been advised. Aurum met.30,3 doses, was prescribed; 9 days later his mother phoned to say that the testis was now in the scrotum all the time. Follow-up,1 year later, showed that the descent was permament."
I would like to try Aurum met 30, 3 doses. But how often to give him these doses?(During one day,3days, once a week?) And how many pellets is one dose? And if this dose that was good for 12 years old is not too strong for 4 years old So many questions. I will highly appreciate your answer. Best regards. LK.

Get a better materia medica!
Sulphur: mania for cleanliness, Very intelligent, the philosopher! ETC.
You will not ever find all of a picture in a person, only bits, when picking a remedy, we use the strong leads, and besides, to treat your family, thats the worst you can try to do, but can you endure it, you will learn faster than enybody else, the reason for saying this, is when you do this, you have already a false picture of the person, not the objektive, and will judge acordingly.
But, you do as you like.
The results will be accordingly.

As for dosages, three pills of x200 is enough, let this work through, then give calc c in the same manner.
As for your understanding of sulphur, well, thats an easy chewed explanation, far from the thruth in this case. Its seldom experienced in reality.
There is to many wild teories written, by teoreticks, the practitioners who work with it every day, sees it different.

Aurum is the common remedy for this problem. By three doses it means 3 in 24hrs. That is one pilule morning, one night and one the following morning. I think it is worth a try but only you can make the decision between the 2 remedies as you know your child.

also check out Aurum Muriaticum which is its Syphilitic Miasm
