Hi...

I have had chronic pain on the ball of my foot just under the second metatarsal, for five months. I first felt it one morning when I got out of bed. It feels like there is a very thick, sore piece of rope on which the whole weight of my body is pressing every time I step on it....my physiotherapist thinks it's a tendon that's causing the pain. I am a ballet dancer, so this is a pretty big problem. I have had several cortisone injections, which relieve the pain somewhat.....but my foot never feels normal. Nothing out of the ordinary shows up on x-rays, ultrasound, or MRI. Any suggestions?

I had that problem. I couldn't put my foot down with someone who was taking advantage of me. As I worked on that problem, the pain in the ball of my foot went away.

Try Rhus Tox 30c- one before bed and one the folowing morning on waking. Avoid the cortizone injections if you can.

Let a chiropractic look at your back, and foot, could be the lock foot syndrome.
If no help in three threatments, you need a full caseanalysis by a homeopath in order to solve this.
The advises you have got here, aint sufficient.

Hi again....
I've seen chiropractors and physiotherapists regularly for months. I also have seen a homepath who put me on Ruta c6, two a day. It doesn't seem to help; she's sending me something else to try. Today I saw my orthopedist, who has a reputation for being the best in the country.....he wants to open my foot up and cut the tendon sheath to let it heal bigger.....and maybe repair damage to the tendon, if there is any. However, I'm pretty anxious to avoid any kind of surgery....like I said, I'm a dancer, and a result that would be good enough for just walking around wouldn't be good enough for me. Can homeopathic remedies still help in a case like this, when there is possible tissue damage, and surgery is recommended?

You can rely Homoeopathy completely in this case.I don't think this is a surgical case.So cosult a good Homoeopath.

Hi

Also had chronic pain in ball of both feet.
Used Rhus Tox for back pain, and advised to use Allergy Combin for other salts and have had no pain in feet recently. Whether there's a connection or just coincidence ?? Sometimes I feel that it's worth a try.

Try sulphur x12 twice a day for about a week.
If it help, go up to one dose x200, once.
Keep us informed.

I'll give the sulphur a try and see what happens. I am considering having the surgery, since my doctor and PT both feel that it will be a simple and low-risk operation, and that scar tissue between the tendon and sheath will not go away otherwise. I have known several people with pain in the same area......but it was usually in the joint capsule or bursa, and went away within a few weeks of moderate rest. Mine is in the tendon.....I have had this for half a year, and I have rested from dancing for long periods to no avail. Most recently I have been resting for three weeks..... and since I stopped taking antiinflammatories, it's only become worse. I have pain with every step. I saw a homeopath who tried Ruta and then Bryonia.....but nothing seems to help. However........I'll keep on experimenting.
