What should be the right potency and dosage for proving?

A single dose OR repeated doses till there is a reaction?

Effects of provings in different potencies?

It is not as easy as hans and passkey mentioned. Summit Goel question is legitimate.

The strength of potency for proving is depend upon the medicinal value of the species which you are going to prove. First we have to see which plant or animal, you are going to prove? What is the medicinal value of the plant. The dose depends upon its time reaction in the body.

Now you can see there are almost over .3 million plant? How many of them have medicinal effect? (one question) What would be dose and in which form potency or crude (second question) and how many trials on how many persons were conducted (four question) before selecting a medicine to prove whether it has medicinal effect or not? Some people are sensitive to few medicine and other do not then again you have use hit and try method. You can't fix the potency to start proving?

Now see , is this an easy job? In my opinion, you can not even think about it.

dear dr sumit goel,
the best reference for your question is the book -
"the dynamics and methodology of homeopathic provings - by jeremy sherr"
get the book from any internet uk/usa homeo book store and it will answer this question and any other on provings.
