Thumbs up

Provings are the backbone of homoeopathy.
What started way back in 1790, with the Cinchona bark, has now evolved into a systematic study of drug properties.
This is true research in homoeopathy and this forms the second part of the knowledge a physician should possess, as detailed in Aphorism 3.

This forum aims to bring together like-minded people, ready to explore the infinite world of homoeopathic remedies.

Be free to express your doubts, queries, inform abt provings and share info regarding provings.

for more details regarding conduct of provings for beginners, be free to email at sumitgoel@yahoo.com

Summit,

Glad to hear all about this info.

We don't have any idea of our starter product of our most of the remedies. We all are steping over our ancestors proving info.

I want to present an example of our very common effective remedy, Silicea. My question is for you what is the starting product of this remedy. I mean to say. What is the initial or raw product from which this remedy was proved.

According to my knowledge we don't have any idea. Second example of arsenic album. we don't have any idea of ars alb proving. where how and whom proved this remedy. Although the symptoms mentioned in materia medica are correct. No idea how and where it was proved.

I contacted to willmar schwabe company germany and asked this question about sil. They said we don't have any idea of starter product of silicea. That is why silicea is not included in their pharmacopea. They are making from silicilic acid. which is not silicea.

If you have any idea of starting product of most of our remedies then please clarify to us.

There are slightly less than 4000 remedies in Materia MEDICA.
But unfortunately, most of them are not included in official pharmacopoeias.
Also many of them are not manufactured.

Also many a times, source of drugs is not mentioned. I absolutely agree with ur point.

Hence this forum to discuss such issues.
Anyway, I shall find out the same and keep u informed.
