Hi! I hope some of you can help me. My 7mths old daughter is having quite a number of red spots on her face and both her hands. It believe it was mosquito bites. They are large bright red spots and the the centre of each spot is hard. It looks like pus is forming. They are concentrated mostly on her hands, with about 4-6 spots on each hand (from the wrist to the fingers only) and some large ones on her forehead. This is the third day.
As I have been away on holiday (which was where she got those nasty bites) I do not have access to any homeopathic remedies, therefore I gave her an antibiotic/corticosteriod cream prescribe by a GP. As I am not comfortable giving her this I hope some of you can give me some advise. I am back home now. Homeopathic remedies are not widely available here. I only have with me a basic kit of 26 remedies 6X which I ordered from Arrowroot on the net. What should I do?

Also may I ask, why is it that infants and young children seem to have more problems with a simple mosquito bite when for us they go away by themselves with any complications. Are there any particular reason?

Try Ledum 6X 4 times a day for a few days and see if the bites improve.

Thank you for replying. I'll do as you suggested. Should I stop the antibiotic/corticosteriod cream? Will it be sufficient if I just give her Ledum with no external application? Thanks again.

If you feel you need a cream, I can highly recommend Rescue Remedy cream, which I take and use whenever we go camping. It relieves the itch and removes the redness quicker than any over the counter medication I've seen.
Ledum sounds good for what you've described, good one Snoopy!

Please avoid any steroids in any form...they are NOT good and only lead to further problems later.

Murphy's Repertory:

Emergency, Bites, animals and insects, from, mosquitoes-Calad., Led., Staph.

In her kit, she probably only has Ledum.

Belladonna is listed for the animal bites but not for the insect bites, including scorpions, fleas, spiders and so on.

yes, I only have Ledum out of all those other possible ones.I am stopping the steriod cream and continue with Ledum 6x 4 times a day. There has been some improvement since I gave her Ledum but I don't know if it was due to the steriod cream or Ledum. Should I be giving Ledum until all the spots are gone?

sorry, I forgot something. I have Rescue Remedy tincture at home but not the cream. Can I apply use that instead. Will it sting due to the alcahol content?

If you only have the Rescue Remedy, why not put it into some water and bathe the spots with that? It will work just as well as the cream, without the residue.
