hello friends,
my year old baby (she will be one on X-Mas day)is teething and is passing loose watery stools. The paediatrician says its intestinal infection. The stools are yellow and have traces of fatty globules in them. After chammomilla failed, i tried calc-carb because it was white and sour smelling. this latter changed to greenish yellow. i then changed over to Ipecac, cause she was vomiting too (while phlegm) there was some improvement but then it relapsed. Now she is into the fourth day. she is well- hydrated and cheerful.Pomegranate juice caused her to bring up again. so i was wondering if i should shift over to Ars-Alb or try Mag-Carb because of the fat globules(looks like undigested milk). Incidently she is worse after being nursed.

Stool lienteric after milk--mag-c or mag-m. (I don't know if this rubric exactly fits.)

Mag-c is also under stool sour odor; watery; yellow.

Nat-c is another possibility, listed under mother's milk agg as well as above stool characteristics.

We generally ignore podo. But Podo is the first choice in many case of infant's diarrhoea.

study Puls too.
As the disease is < by fruit juice, fat is undigested and baby is cheerful. As there is no weakness china is not there(Acid phos as told by Sinha).
Another remedy we give for prolonged diarrhoea is chapparo in low potency(but not much symptom as it is short remedy)

diarrhoea=evaucation of unwanted residues from the body without pain. the residues may be undgiested

dysentry=with pain and cramps in the abdomen with mucous and some time with blood some time giardia.

This my understanding which I think may be wrong.

Hi Valerian,

Have a look at Aethusa--it is the one I think of first if there is an inability to digest milk--in particular, mother's milk.
