Now, do i understand that platelet count and Thalesaemia are the same symptomatically speaking.

B]Dr. Saboor[/b]your experience with Lach if shared will help me. My friend is a Thalesaemia minor patient and is taking folic acid (guess he has to take them life long) and occasionally Iron tablets when ever his Hb drops(otherwise it is always hovering at 11%, which is low for a Male age 30 year and measuring 6'. I had given him Ferrum Met 6X and he had found some relief but i did not know how long to continue. I also wonder if any permanent solution exist.
Also, in such situation how much of the case depends on constitutional remedy. Has Lach/Cortalus hor/Baptisia etc got to fit the person constitutionally to benefit him.
In Pakistan i believe there are many cases of Thalasaemia and am sure you are rich in such clinical experience.

thalassemia and paltelet count(ITP)are entirely different.
thalssemia is a genetic disorder where formation of adult haemoglobin is blocked. It has peculer face appearance, teeth appearance,(chipmunk facies)and hepatosplenomegaly and anaemia and the limbs are thin etc.the haemoglobin level is usually 3-4g/dl.blood picture is different from ITP.the Xray of skul shows "hair on end apearance".

in ITP the platelet are affected.here typical haemorrhagic spots can be seen.On exam.of blood platelet count is markedly reduced
