Has anybody any ideas how to approach this?
After Sulph, Calc, Tub and Hep Sulph in this baby's short (16month life) she is very healthy However she is left with a toe fungus appearing as dried blisters on big toes.Big toe eruptions are usually good news to a homeopath i was taught, especially after remedies. The last remedy was Calc 30 and the Hep sulph was given last year after she had had impetigo and antibiotics.
She is fair haired, large, big head, very friendly, appropriately shy. Likes most food, still breast fed.
Father has toe fungus, so she could have picked it up from the bath. (but susceptibility why?)
Only one lot of vaccinations given at 7 months. Sulph before, heavy cold after.
I'd appreciate anybody's comments. Thanks

Why was the baby given Sulphur before the vaccinations? Did it match the baby's symptom picture?

Please don't tell me someone told you to do this as a "defense" against the vaccine, or I'll be forced to--as Louise Price says in another post--vomit (projectile).

A toe fungus or skin symptom which occurs after a remedy is given is not necessarily a good sign--unless it is the return of an old symptom which happened to be suppressed not long before the remedy was given.

Perhaps this is a new symptom which needs to be analyzed in the context with the baby's case.
It may clear up on its own though, if this is the only instance of fungal infection you've seen. If the baby has suffered from things like diaper rash and thrush as a matter of course, then it will need to be addressed constitionally, with the correctly chosen remedy.

Get your bucket byt he side of your bed Divina!
Well yes and no to whether it was a preventative or a constitutional. Murphy has "preventative for side effects" so i guess people have found it useful. My understanding is that if its a child's constitutional remedy or fits the picture at the time then the boost that sulph will give the constitution will be operational when the vaccine hits. Apparently ALL vaccines have SOME mercury in them and Sulph also antidotes Merc.

EEEEYYIIIKKKKEEESS and duck, lady...

This has been widely discounted as far too simplistic an approach to vaccinosis.

Please, please, please, go to google.com and type in Sheri Nakken. You will get a series of links connecting her to her activist work on anti-vaccination campaigns (she's a pediatric nurse/homeopath who has seen the damage of vaccines firsthand and advocates for choice in the matter as well as pharmaceutical restraints) as well as articles she's written on the issue as a reporter and links she's set up with parents all over the world. It pays to educate yourself and arm yourself with what you will need if you wish to legally exempt your child from vaccination.

Just because sulphur in potency antidotes mercury in potency, doesn't mean its going to have any effect in protecting a child against vaccines (in which the mercury is not potentized). Also, there are WAY more toxins in a vaccine than just mercury (we're not dealing with the smallpox vaccine of 100 years ago here!! Jeezzzzzz!!!!!!) and you must deal with issue of the latent disease the vaccine engenders. To do that you must wait until you see any viable symptoms of the latent disease--otherwise you are just guessing.

I'd take a "cold" after a vaccination to be not a good sign--in fact, I'm more reassured if the vaccine produces a form of the illness itself--that tells me that the child would have been able to counter the effects of the actual disease all on his/her own--and this injected disease has stimulated the child's own strength the eliminate it from his body despite the vaccination. At least then the child has a hope of avoiding the illness on a deep level, where it will influence the body deeply and (to the allopath) imperceptibly...until its too late!!

No response at all, or just a little one like some coryza (especially after sulphur--hell, that's little more than a proving symptom, since the remedy was given without matching any presenting symptoms!)actually tells me that the latent disease may be entrenched.

Okay, enough ranting about that--I'm sure I sounded like I'm laying blame on you--but really I'm just peeved at how hurtful these little myths--which never go questioned or at least researched vis a vis the literature homeopaths rely on--can be.

So, is the toe fungus just some thing that's presented for the first time, or is it another example of fungal infection that's taken place before?

OK, OK, point taken. I'll look up your SHeri Nakken.
Toe fungus is 2nd fungal infection. First was impetigo on back of head presenting as punched out open sore, child's father panicked and child given antibiotics. 2nd fungalinfection 6 weeks later, was under arm - similar presentation. Calc Carb 30 given - mother took Calc Carb 200 one week later. Cleared up, no fungicide used.
Now toe fungus 5 months later.

Okay, has the fungal infection you're seeing now been around long?

Is it on the nail or on the skin of the toe? Is it causing any discomfort?

About 2 weeks and on the skin of the big toe - as i said it appears as dried blisters. No discomfort as far as can tell - she's only been walking about 6 weeks.

Here are some possibly applicable rubrics:

1 EXTREMITIES; ERUPTIONS; Toes: 1zinc., 2sulph., 2sil., 1ruta, 1rhus-v., 1ph-ac., 1nit-ac., 1nat-c., 1led., 1lach., 1kali-bi., 1graph., 1cupr-ar., 1cupr., 1crot-c., 1am-c.

2 EXTREMITIES; ERUPTIONS; Toes; between: 1psor., 2petr., 1carb-v., 1bamb-a., 1alum.

3 EXTREMITIES; ERUPTIONS; flea bites, like; foot: 1sec.

These are fairly general rubrics--you may have a more accurate description of the fungal growth appearance (does it look the same as your husband's?)

To me, the fungal issue is something systemic--so it may be best addressed with a constitutional remedy. If it is not causing too much discomfort and seems to be diminishing on its own, it can be addressed by good hygiene (washing and drying the feet thoroughly, preferably allowing them to air dry completely before putting on socks and shoes) until it disappears on its own--then watching for any progress in recurrences in the symptom in the future (but you probably already know this).

If you can be more specific, though, we may be able to look a little deeper into the rubrics--oh, and is this similar to the other fungal infections the baby's had in the past?

Do you mean to say this child responded to calc--or that she received puls and then calc to follow, and has done well on both?

Is there any other evidence of yeast/fungal growth happening now--at the same time as the toe fungus? (like, for example, thrush or itchy ears or anything like that? Is all the impetigo experienced in the head area gone?) Or are you just having this eruption on the toe and heel area of the foot--with no other symptoms, which occured in a seemingly unrelated way to any particular event?

It could be that the calc last given is still "doing its job", and you are seeing the symptom continually move away from the body to the limbs--in a much less serious eruption this time. If the baby isn't very upset by the eruption, and is still happy and functioning well, then I'm inclined to think the baby may well be taking care of the symptom with the help of the calc, and things should be left to take their course. If it continues for much longer, though, and doesn't clear up on its own once and for all, the baby may need another dose of calc carb.
