If you were my patient I would ask you to make an appointment to see your doctor and get it checked out, so please do. And no I don't know what it means as I am not a doctor and therefore don't diagnose!!

Carol,

If you want to look it up, it's called Galactorrhea (hope the spelling is correct). It can have various causes and yes, do get it checked out!

Best wishes,
Karin

Is it indeed Galactorrhea in patients who are going through menopause? Galactorrhea - from what I understand it to mean - is milk being produced when it isn't supposed to be.

In any case - it doesn't matter when it comes to homeopathy really - just treat the symptoms based on the totality. I wouldn't view this as an acute manifestion of a sign/symptom - rather an expression of her chronic state(?).

So a good case-taking would be in order, from my understanding - and followed up by good case-management.

But, Carol - get it checked, if it makes you feel better to know what is going on in the material sense .

Just some thoughts - and I stand corrected if I'm wrong - as I don't want to mislead anyone.

Best wishes,
Lisa

I don't want to alarm anyone...I'm not totally sure that is where the wetness came from. I woke up that morning and my neck was just dripping sweat...its possible it came from there. I hate doctors so I won't go unless it happens again.

If it was a hot flash and sweating no worries. but if you are truly leaking milk or any discharge from the breast can be very serious.
It is an indication that your hormones are out of wack. Your doctor will want to do some blood work and may need to check to see if there is a growth on your Pituitay gland which distributs and regulates the hormone which produces milk.
good luck

Thanks for your concern. I do think it was hot flash related...it hasn't happened again. But I'm watching it.

I experience the same situation in my life. But it passed away with the time. carol was right in her opinion not to visit the doctor.
