If it's true, in terms of the back pain, that he is Never Well Since a fall flat on his back when he was 15, have you tried the usual injury remedies? A blow to the spine might be Nat-sulph. Arnica is always a consideration as well as Bryonia. What do the rest of you think?

For the record, I am still waiting on the kali-iod to come in.

I have tried the arnica and he said he can't tell if there is a difference or not.He has used it for days at a time because I told him that it may take time to kick in, but he always said he couldn't tell if it was helping or not. I guess if it was helping he would know, right? I have not tried the other stuff, not knowing if that is the cause or not. When he fell at 15 it was pain in the lower back, not the upper, but who knows what it disrupted. He said he doesn't feel like he needs his back cracked, but I do it for him sometimes anyway and it loosens up a bit. It doesn't take long, though, for it to sieze up again when he gts stressed. That is why I was leaning towards the personality thing.

for his upper back pain due to weight lifting you can consider Rhus Tox too.

For his totality narrated here the most probable I see here is Lycopodium .To a lesser degree Nat Carb and Aur Met also.

I see why Pannakal says Lyco. But I'd still go with Kali Iod if it helped in the past, is the same backache, and is based on his personality. (Did DavidJK make the prescription?)

Yes Somer, if it increases with anxiety, one should lean on the "personality side". And In my experience a longstanding Backache is always helped by the constitutional.

warm regards,

Sounds good. I will give the kali-iod when it comes in. And yes, David gave the prescription for it before.
