I have just visited the site of Robert Seror <www.homint.org/photo>
and I have found a number of likenesses of people that were taken from my book, The Faces of Homeopathy, without permission.
These photos, as part of the book, are copyright BY ME in 1999.

Dr. Seror claims copyright on them in 2001.

I HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF BY THIS MAN

There seems to be NO honor in the homeopathic community.

I am asking for a public apology, and either credit given on his site, or the photos removed.

Julian, that is very sad and infuriating as well. Your demand for a public apology and removal of the photographs or declaration of their source is quite justified and has all the moral force behind it.

After some email between me (Sylvain Cazalet) and Julian Winston, I want to write here some extracts of a copy of a public email that Julian Winston had posting today to the lyghtforce list.

You can see here that Homéopathe International, Dr Robert Séror and me (Sylvain Cazalet) always had help homeopathy in a non profit organisation with a great serious.

H.I. always help anybody ask them, and we never had asked for payment.

Dr Robert Séror and me, we have create a "photothèque" with the help of many other homeopaths, and each time we have give appropriate credit to them. Anybody can see our photothèque and see that many credit are given.

We never had any problems about this subject, except today with Mr Julian Winston..., and H.I. don't understand why JW use this forum instead of contact me first.

Some photos in our "photothèque" are provided by external sources, homeopaths, friend's site, etc... and we will verify one more time as soon as possible our source to verify if some photos on our photothèque can be a copy of JW's book.

In this way, I stay in contact with Julian Winston, and you can be sure that the matter will be resolved amicably.

Most pictures from the turn of the century cannot be copyrighted, although the work which contains the reproductions of them can be copyrighted.
I mentioned that there were some pictures that are owned by Hahnemann Archives, which I paid to use. I am NOT the owner of those pictures, and any problem with the site using the pictures would be an issue between the Hahnemann Archives and Homeoint.
Similarly, I am NOT the copyright holder of most of the pictures in my book.

I have, because of my sources, been approached for images, and I have never refused a request. I have never asked for payment-- only that due credit be given i.e., photo courtesy of Julian Winston.

There ARE, however, some pictures that I am almost certainly the only source-- since I have the original. In one case, I had a rare photo printed in Homeopathy Today, of which I am the editor. It is my hope that if anyone used the photo (or a piece of it) that appropriate credit be given to me or to the NCH.

I believe that Homeoint are providing a great service to the homeopathic community by their web site which has both photos and articles for access.

After going through the reply by Sylvain Cazalet, I feel, my comments were immature and given without hearing the other side of the story. That is regrettable and I must apologise for that.

I would also like to take this opportunity to record my appreciation for the laudable services Sylvain Cazalet and Dr. Seror have been rendering for the cause of homoeopathy.
