The sweating predates the vertigo. I would say it really picked up with the last dose of Argetum. It's kinda gross. I removed the pillowcase to wash it since it was so damp, and the pillow itself is stained orange.

The bad taste in the mouth has also predated the vertigo. It's been the condition for a long time. if I go too long without eating, the acid in my stomach turns flammable. After some time I'm hyperventilating like crazy and can feel something pushing up into my neck.

The hernia seems to have come on over the last few years. It emerged with my use of constitutional homeopathy. Mind you, I used to get terribly belly pain and had irritable bowel syndrome, so it is an improvement.

The only time it affects me is if I've gone too long without eating, especially if I eat junk, and during exertion. I remember a few months back when I helped my sister move, my 62 year old father who has a slight heart skip (a congenital thing on his side of the family) had no problems but I was sucking wind and felt like there was a hand around my windpipe. It doesn't affect me in the gym, but during household labor, which is a different form of exertion.

I should add, I am feeling like my old self again. I was lightheaded this afternoon after lunch, but I was also exhausted from the work around the apartment so I discounted that. Two doses of Nux later, and at 2 am (I seem to be at my most awake after 10pm) I am doing fine. Except for the mild hyperventilation from not eating since 7pm that is. But that's typical.

Yes, Nux Vomica, Cocculus and Phos. are running very high on my list. Very good Louise!

Andy, how are you doing now?

Well today is not the best day to measure it. I recieved some new furniture for my home office and just spent 6 hours building and breaking down new and old furniture. Quite frankly, I'm dead tired. I will report tomorrow after I've recovered.

So Andy,

Did you go from 2 doses of Rhus tox to 2 doses of Nux Vomica? I'm just trying to find out what worked. Are you saying the whole dizziness episode is over? What about the burning sensation in your arms? How's the tremendous thirst with dry mouth at this point? Was that a part of this recent vertigo illness or did it exist before?

Dear Andy,

In rereading your post, I can see clearly it was the Nux Vomica that helped. Well, hooray for homeopathy! Another day, another miracle.

And your homeopath said he was at a loss? Geez, fire him! You are in Los Angeles-- Homeopathy Heaven! The best homeopaths in the country are in your area!
There's no need to settle for an idiot. I'll get back to you with some names, but off the top of my head, I'm thinking there's Roger Morrison, Nancy Herrick, Jonathan Shore, Bill Gray; I'll try to be more specific when I get home later, cuz I shoulda left outta here hours ago!

Glad you're well,

Snoopy

Andy,

It suddenly hit me while I was out, I think I know what your chronic remedy is!
Asafoetida. It has this sensation that there are risings from the stomach stopping in the throat. Bad taste in the mouth. Tightness around the chest making breathing very difficult. Unless someone else has a better idea, order a 30C and give it a try!

How about a simple remedy like Carbo Veg?

Or a ginger curry once in a while?

I can assure you that will take care of the chronic thing as well, if there is any.

Dear Shashi,

Thanks for mentioning Carbo veg. You never know, it may be as simple as that! I thought of Asaf. because of the peculiar aspect that the risings from the stomach seem to stop in the throat: "Everything presses toward throat...driven from stomach to throat." (Murphy's MM)

Well folks, it's finally over. It turned out it was Nux Vomica, I just needed a different brand. I was using Boiron, which is the most common brand found in stores here in L.A. I got some 30C made by Natural Health Supply and that worked. I would take it after eating when the dizziness kicked in, and it gradually went away. I also noticed a change in my mental state, too. More like my old self. So thanks to everyone on here for their successful efforts.

Andy,

This is an incredible story! I've never known a Boiron remedy not to work! And it never would have occurred to me to try another brand of the same remedy--but thank heavens it occurred to you; good going! Did you order the same potency? Was there any special reason you decided to stick with Nux Vomica? Come to think of it, it does seem to fit your general state as a previous writer said, and the stomach stuff....Wow, so this is really great news! Thanks for telling us!
