Chelidonium is, however, a right sided remedy.
Tonight I ate tiny, beautiful, roasted "patty pan squash" for dinner. They were delicious, as squash is one of my favourite foods.
However, exactly 1/2 an hour after dinner, I felt a familiar, evil cramping pain in my abdomen. Had to draw my legs up to my chest, was shivering, suffered the horrible pains of diarrhea etc. etc. and thought of this thread. As I'm on a constitutional remedy that is finally kicking in, I didn't want to take a remedy for the acute (I have this reaction to eggplants and zucchini, unfortunately, and should have known not to eat the tiny squash!). Instead, I drank mineral water with carbonation in it, waited for the wave of pain to be over, and tried to sleep.
I woke at 2:30 am with the severe pain again, and decided I needed to repertorize it out. Pains weren't anywhere specific--not right or left sided, just across the abdomen, and very steady and sharp. Mineral water wasn't helping anymore, and I was getting the chills again. I thought about CIB's post and the chelidonium...and on further repertorization and MM study, it didn't fit.
In desperation, I took some Mag Phos tissue salts.
Pain disappeared instantly, and hasn't come back. Yay!
