Question

Can someone recommend a medication for IBS. One of the doctors that I consulted recommended Raphanus Sativus. Is it the correct medication for IBS?

JVolkman, Thank you for your response. Unfortunately I did the see the Doctor in person. Based on my symptoms a doctor recommended Raphanus Sativus to someone I know. I wanted to get a second opinion before I tried anything. I do plan to see a Homeopath but if you happen to have additonal information please share. My symptoms are typical IBS symptoms such as frequent bowl movements after I eat, the bowls are not formed, gas and stomach ache early in the morning.

JVolkman, my mistake, I meant to say I did not see the doctor in person. I will try to schedule an appointment with a local Homeopath. Thanks for your help.

Be careful to ensure that the cause of your problem is not the use of foil, aluminium, non stick cookware or hidden Aluminium elements in electric coffee makers slow cookpots etc

This is very often a cause of the symptoms you describe

Thanks Pat. What kind of pots and pans do you recommend for cooking, in case this might be the cause of my symptoms.

If I jump in here, Please do not mind. I always recommended and used ourselves. The pyrex glass ware, and Corningware for cooking and frying.

Shashi, thank you for your response. If you dont mind me asking, did you suffer from IBS in the past? If so, changing the cookware helped or not?

Hi Haas,

I am a Homoeopath and I and family never suffered from IBS. This is what I learned from learned Homoeopath who is one of the best in UK and since then I have given advice and changed our own pots & pans.

If you want to read about Aluminium, Please read Kent's lectures on Alumina & Fourbisters book ( I cant remember the title right now).

People with chronic GIT problems have been benefitted by avoiding Aluminium and of course on some other dietary suggestions.

If you had seen the state of me from using Aluminium pans you would have no trouble linking IBS /crohns/ulcerative colitis with the use of Aluminium cookware ><>>>>>>including all those gadgets like slow cookpots, coffee makers even yoghurt makers which all have a hidden Aluminium element in them >>>>>acts like radiation

Also do not not ignore reading all labels and being suspicous of all prepared and restuarant foods
