Dear All,
I have been asked to set up few questions on [b]Philosophy and Miasms[b/] for Final Year Diploma course. I want to explore the expertise on this board. It will be a great help to have some interesting and thought provoking questions for the future Homoeopaths in their final year of diploma. All are welcome. Thanks in advance. |

here is one Philosophy Question:
The disease, or the person--what is to be cured? Compare Hahnemann's views with Kent's.

I wonder sometime when someone ask simple help for the future Homoeopaths, the response is like nothing.
Any how, Thanks to Hans.( i appreciate that), I think we should sit together sometime. And for Ricky, were you never given any questions for elaborate answers? Dear Dr.Pannakal, You are probably familiar with eastern kind of teaching methods when a master test his/her pupils to the extent that they do not fail in their future accomplishments and bring laurels to the school/college where the students were taught? It is not the question of ease or being difficult, I just need some different way of asking questions from our learned friends on this bb. May be there are some set questions which were asked by some other tutors from other colleges, some old papers will suggest something!

It's Fun!!
I got a few: 1. "When the indicated remedy fails, give nosodes (or the archetype miasmic remedy as Sulphur, Thuja or Mercury)." Comment on this statement, preferably with reference to Chronic Diseases. 2. "It's said that Sulphur is the alpha and omega of homeopathic treatment." (meaning it's often used to 'open' and 'close' a case) What's your opinion? 3. "Mental symptoms has the highest priority in selecting the simillimum." Please comments and reference to at least Hahnemann's Organon (#210 and others), Kent and Bonninghausen. Comptemporary authors may be referenced as well. 4. What is a "Characteristic Symptom" (Organon #153)? 5. Critically review one of the following comtemporary writers: a. Vithoulkas's ideas. b. Sankaran's ideas c. Sholten's ideas Evaluate their merits and demerits in the development of homeopathy. So much for now. Good luck to Shashi's students!! |

'If, during the action of a homeopathic remedy, a symptom disappears; how do we know it is cured?'
'What was the first, second and third steps in the evolution of homeopatic theraputics?' 'What future has homeopathy to offer you? What do you have to offer homeopathy?' Wishing your students well. Louise. |

Sorry to have let you down, Shashi! I haven't been at my computer for a couple of days...
How about a question regarding vaccinations? Something like, consider the homeopathic reasoning against the use of vaccinations, using the texts of homeopaths such as Compton Burnett, as well as Hahnemann's Organon? This could turn into a bit of a pathology question--like, what is vaccinosis? Divina
