It stops running for about 2 weeks then starts again. she is sometimes shy. it runs all day. doesnt run at night, I guess because she's asleep. it doesnt matter if the weather is hot or could. It runs all year long. any suggestions

Brin,

What's the color and consistency of the discharge? Is it acrid or bland? What's the child like otherwise? what's his body type? His personality? Thirst? Food desires? Is he warm or chilly? When did you first notice this phenomenon? What was happening in his life around that time, including illnesses he may have not completely recovered from, vaccinations, etc.
Does he perspire in any particular place?
How is he affected by weather?

The didcharge is clear and bland. She also has dark circles under her eyes and dry skin and hair. she is kind od whiny and cries easily. she is sometimes shy but not always. she doesnt like ice in her drinks. she's not too picky about her foods. There is never any sweating. The weather doesnt seem to make a difference. She doesnt complain of being to warm or chilly. she constantly sniffs. I first noticed it when she was about a year old but cannot remember what started it. I do remeber vaccinations and antibiotics for earaches and for the nasal infections.
thanks

Dear Brin,

Two remedies come to mind. First is
Nux Vomica, known for watery nasal discharges during the day, but no discharge at night. Secondly, I thought of
Natrum Muriaticum, known for its issues with fluids--either too much or not enough: wet/dry--too much/too little.

Why not try Nux Vom. first; 30C three times a day for three days; if there's improvement, stop the remedy and wait and watch; if there's an aggravation, stop the remedy and wait (an improvement may follow);
resume if improvement stops.

If Nux Vom. has shown no effect whatsoever after a few days, then try Natrum Muriaticum, same instructions, and stay in touch with us so we can help you.

Here's a tip. Continued vaccinations are going to lower your child's health in many ways, leading to colds, ear infections, etc.
You can protect your child from the ill-effects of vaccinations by giving your child Ledum 30C three times a day for 3 days following the vaccination; also, give her a dose before the vaccination.

Also, when your child does get a cold or ear infection, homeopathic remedies treat these things quickly and without side effects that lead to more and more infections. I urge you to buy a homeopathic home remedy kit and a book on acute prescribing to keep your child healthy and safe.

Brin,

Consider Silica as well. The children cry easily. They have colds that never end.

Dear Brin,

Since you've given nux vom., give it some time to work before switching remedies.

Give 3 times a day. One pellet is enough but most people feel more comfortable giving 2 or 3 pellets at a time. If nothing happens as a result of nux after a few days, you can switch to another remedy; but remember, a change on the mental/emotional plane is just as good as a change on the physical plane, so let us know what happens.

Feel free to give us more symptoms too.

Snoopy
