Again, how does a body know, with this kind of projection of vision onto a patient, if they are barking up the wrong tree (in the wrong forrest)??
Are the likes & dislikes a manifestation of a persons 'will' or 'psycology' clearly expressed through the body? If so, would it not be wiser to stick to those time proven expressions? Or is that just too boring?
Slightly baffled by mr seagull.
Louise.

I have many times prescribed using NOTHING but the mental state of the patient, and have cured serious physical pathology. And I have never even bothered in some cases to check the pathology if the state was clear enough or strong enough. What Sehgal seems to be trying to do is tie in the mental state with the way the pathology expresses itself. In a way he is attempting to mentalise the generals, much the way Bonninghausen generalised the particulars. It is an interesting idea, and I can see how it could lead to mistakes, but in the hands of a good prescriber....who knows.

Dear all,

It was a good experience. Different way to look at and understand the mentals and interpretation. overall a new thing and certainly based on our philosophy, No deviation at all which is amazing.

I like to think of Seghal's method (and the methods of people like Sankaran) as merely another way to use the repertories--to interpret the rubrics--to help you find a possible remedy. I'm not surprised Seghal's method has no deviation from our philosophy--Sankaran doesn't, either, yet he's often criticized as some kind of upstart who deviates from classical methodology. The basic task--to understand exactly what it is that needs to be cured in the case and the patient--remains unchanged; but the methods of using the tools is made to vary in order to find the best way (remedy) to accomplish the cure.
