Actually, My son had an eye infection from a bacteria called Pseudomonas. This has left a scar in the middle of his cornea that has blurred his vision. It is the size of a surface of a 1 carat diamond ring. Needless to say it is very significant.
The bacterial infection has been contained and we have been giving him Arnica Montana 30 from the 19th of April. We have also started giving him Symphytum since last Monday. The doctor, who is a cornea surgeon, was really happy with the progress of his recovery but says the scar will heal slowly and the scar will remain on the cornea. The scar is less than 25% deep in the cornea and so I was wondering, if homeopathy would be helpful in diminishing the scar, as much as it can. Thank you for your help. Apurva |

Murphy p546, 16 remedies are listed as possibilities for injury to the eye following inflammation.
Your boy needs to consult a competent homoeopath in order to select accurately from that list. It is not advisable to give daily remedies in 30 potencies. It can cause harm even [and perhaps especially] if the remedy was well-selected. |

Yes, He has been taking Arnica 30 since April 19th. Should I discontinue it? Do you know of a Good Homeopath in Atlanta?
I am giving him Symphytum based on a Homeopathic Doctor's recommendation. He is an Indian Doctor who has come to the US to become an MD. is Arnica 30 very strong? I am a bit worried now. I am taking him to the best cornea eye surgeon in Atlanta and he is on a medication called Cyloxan. As usual your help is considerably more helpful than shooting in the dark. From a very grateful parent. Apurva |

A remedy should only be taken for short periods, not for days on end. You will eventually make your son sicker this way. If a remedy improves the symptoms then it is appropriate to take it.If nothing is happening, it is not. Eventually it will produce new symptoms in him which could be more serious. And never take two remedies together, this is terrible, and dangerous, use of homoeopathy.
My advice would be to use something safer until you get to a homoeopath, perhaps Euphrasia (Eyebright) drops.

Thank you all for your advice. I have actually been referred to a very good homeopathic doctor in Atlanta. People swear by him. I am scheduled for a visit day after tomorrow.
We continued with Arnica and Symphytum becuase we saw a tremendous help in his healing. We are giving him these two only twice a day, 4 granules. Thank you all again for all your help. Apurva |
