Okay, I'm really interested in talking about something homeopathy-focused for a while.

I want to generate some discussion about materia medica. Since we haven't got a "case" to work on, how about some commonly available reference we could all "analyse" for a remedy?

I just recently saw the new Tim Burton film, Big Fish, starring Ewan McGregor, Albert Finney, Billy Crudup, and Jessica Lange. Anyone wanna take a crack at repertorizing up any of these characters in this "struggle"?

Oh well, how about another movie that we might all have seen?

Here's a suggestion or two:

The Shining--stramonium
The Green Mile--phosphorus, lycopodium, the whole syphilitic miasm ("kills people with their love for others", as one character puts it)

hmmm. All screenplays written by the same author...interesting...

anyone else seen any other movie that's "made them think" about remedies?

Not movies so much as most sitcoms TV shows. Most TV shows have good character remedies.

Hi Ricky...yes, I thought he was a good hyos.
what do you think his dad was? How about his lover, who he meets at the end of the film?

I can't recall The Hole, Lisa, tell me a bit about it...who's in it? I may need my memory refreshed.

Wait - I know a good one - Finding Nemo! Have any of you seen that? There are several good characters in that to discuss. Lisa, you have probably seen it, any comments?

No, I haven't seen Nemo, Barb!! I tend to avoid the mass-produced Disney-like films. (Maybe Nemo isn't like all the others?) I only tend to watch one when loads of people tell me I 'must' see it --- like Shrek, which I thought was hysterically funny -- cleverly done.

The Hole is set in UK -- at an expensive boarding school.
Synopsis:
A group of teenagers, who are trying to avoid attending a school trip, take refuge in an disused underground bunker aided by Martin, the school nerd. For three days and three nights the group have a great time, but when Martin fails to return to let them out things start getting weird...

It's a thriller -- more a mental one. It was pretty good.

Thora Birch is the main character -- and Kiera Knightly plays her best friend. Don't recall who the other actors were. Oh, and Thora did a pretty good British accent!! Much better than Renee Zellwegger (what's with her scrunchy eyes anyway?).

Unfortunately (or maybe it's fortunate?) I don't get to watch too many movies these days -- just too busy.

If anyone has seen The Hole, then the main character is the one I'd focus on for a remedy. Very calculating. Brrrr.
