Hello,
My baby is 6mo., and 2 weeks ago she got a cold.
Her nose was very congested and she had a ear infecction (in the beggining), with no pain (as she didn't cryied for it). No fever.
In the morning she used to vomit the milk with some mucus which was yellowish-to-green.
I gave her Bell 30C for the ear infecction, the congested nose is better. I mean, she breaths normally during the night, but during the day her nose is congested (bottom of nose(?)) and she's gotten an irritating dry cough which is worse when she lies down.
When she coughs she's all red and I can see she makes quite an effort doing so. She seems to have something irritating her throat. Sometimes she throws out some mucus, rarely though. She eats normally.
Yesterday, I made her some breathing exercises (to expel mucus from lungs) and her cough developed to a wet (?) cough.

Can anyone help me, please?

Was it formula or breastmilk she used to vomit?

Has she been recently vaccinated?

Anna: She used to vomit formula. But then, she's been taking it for a while, with no problem.

David: In fact, she took 3rd dose of DTP and Polio, and I refused HBV on 23rd April. One week later she got a 'cold' ?!

I wish I knew more of immunisation. I've been reading some posts on the matter, and have been searching for a book of Susan Curtis, but haven't had much success.

Next shot she'll take (if she takes it, which I dont't think it will happen) is when she's 15mo - Measles shot.

Now she still has that cough, with some phlegm, and today she threw some out, it was yellow. Her nose is still runny (?), and her breathing is noisy.

Is there anything else I should remember ?

About the HBV vaccin, I heard that in France, they'd been studying the matter and concluded that some kidneys infecction, cistits, etc, were due to this shot.
Oh, If I knew of this before!

SN, using all the info provided I could narrow it down only to seven remedies.
A full case must be taken - see if you can find a competent homoeopath nearby.

I can tell you she's a very gentle child, the kind everyone likes, she's stumpy, but very active and vivacious. She's very energetic and very strong, since she was a newborn.
Her skin is very dry. Almost doesn't look like a baby skin. She peels in the back of her ears.
I breastfeed her till 6 1/2 mo., together (not regularly in the begginning) with formula since her 2 1/2.
By 4mo she went to kindergarden and a month later (month later after vaccination, too), she got a cold, fever (39ºC) for 3 days, from this cold she got a cough, dry one which lasted for more than a month. She got conjuntivitis which was treated with Euphrasia. At the same time she got a furuncle in the back of her head, also treated with arnica and sulfur (I can't remember exactly). So we didn't know to which was due the fever.
I went to pediatrician and was told that the baby should have some breathing exercises and 'aerosol?', since her lungs were a little affected. She should take antibiotics for the both things. I started it, but stopped it at 5th day. And decided treating with homeopathy. Every homeop. treatment I already described, was taken from here.
She got better, but the cough, was still there, less strong though.
I took her to my homeopath which prescribed her drosera. No effect. I told the homeopath and changed to Aconitum. She got better.
At 6mo she got new vaccines, new cold and a stronger cough, I told to homeopath again, and Aconitum was given again, no effect. So now she's taking Eupatorium. But I started it on tuesday night, I don't know if it should have started doing something. Every remedy I give her is diluted in a little piece of water, less than a coffee spoon.

I hope this can help you, I really hope so. I don't intend to treat her by myself, but it sure should help me, when I take her again to the homeopath, and understand if she's being well taken care of.

Most likely this child needs Sulphur.
I would prefer that a full case could be taken by a competent homoeopath to confirm it beyond doubt and then potencies could be run up and down with confidence until a full cure is achieved.
Repertorisation indicated either Sulphur or Silica, and Sulphur is the best choice on the given info because it is primarily a psoric case, and because Aconite has given relief to the acute.

This is almost certainly a case of vaccinosis. I would reconsider ever getting her vaccinated again, as every reaction sets them up for worse reactions down the line. Measles is no safer.

For this reason I would give Sil first, in a 30c, once a day for 3-4 days. The Sil constitution is most strongly affected by vaccination.

Just one thing, how many pills of Sil? Just one?

No, definitely, I won't vaccinate her against measles. Better having it. I had it too, and no harm came out of it.

In the mean while, one thing came up to my mind, do you think that any of these symptoms would have anything to do with teeth? I mean, she doesn't seem to have a slight signal of it, but they must be here sooner or later, dont't you think?

Dear SN,

put the pill in water and keep the mixture in a glass aside for use each day. If you have a clean bottle and dropper put the pill in that with some water.


If you use a glass of water, stir thoroughly before giving her one teaspoonful. Use the same spoon each time and keep it aside as well. A teaspoonful is one dose.

In the bottle, hit the bottle against the palm of your hand 5-10 times before each dose. A dose is 5-10 drops.
