36 yr old male complains of:

Suddenly feeling tired, no energy, "blah", achey. Mental state okay just tired. headache in eyes, top and front of head. green nasal thick mucus in morning - turning clear and more fluid as day progresses. Burning on beginning urination yesterday - today no burning but urination is "interupted" where he starts to go then stops and he has to "force it out" said it spurts. Said he didn't sleep well, felt hot and then cold then hot. He took aconite of his own accord and felt much better for about 4 hours then symptoms came back. Had a bladder infection before when his wife was pregnant with first child - she is now pregnant with second. Mild vertigo on quick movement. He travels on planes alot and probably picked up virus.

Very hot shower felt good - no increase or decrease in thirst.

By the way what is the rubric for thick nasal discharge that is colored (yellow, or green) in morning and then turns runnyu and clear as day goes on?? This seems to be a common symptom.

Barb, do you have Kent?

Look on page 330 and you'll see several choices:

NOSE:
Discharge, green every morning: (only one remedy) Nit-ac .

pg 331
Discharge, yellow: aur, Calc, Cic, Kali-bi, Iod, kali-c, mag-m, rhod

yellow, thick, heavy, high up: crot-t

Also if you at which time of the morning it changes, you can find that as well . (also it is more on one side than the other? that is in there too)

For e.g.:
pg 329
NOSE:
Discharge, morning: berb, kali-p, mang, phos, puls, squil.
forenoon: erig

and so on.
If you have Boericke - then look there - they aren't the same as Kent - but you'll be able to figure it out with practise. It does take practise to figure out how to convert what you see into rubrics, but it comes to you after a while .

Under Vertigo there are many possibilities.
For e.g.
VERTIGO:
Rising, on
Shaking the head
Raising head
Riding, while
Sudden
Stooping, on
Walking, while

So this shows you'd have to get more info from him .

Of course, you'd just carry on looking through the other sections to find what else fits the symtpoms he gave you and the ones you also observed about him.

Good luck ,

At a guess from the given info, Sulphur:

reasons:
urine - flow interrupted
warmth amel
nose green discharge
nose slimy discharge

Sulphur is big for eye pain with infections.
You could try a 30 crushed and dissolved and plussed between doses.

It would be good to have some confirmatory modalities for the complaints.

night night.

Dear Barb,

From what I've read about aconite, it has to be repeated frequently--it clearly worked, and then wore off. Repeat it or go up in potency by putting it in water. By the way, sulphur is the complement of aconite, so maybe he has moved into sulphur, but since aconite worked, they say never leave a remedy that worked, so try aconite first.

Thanks - Blah symptoms have gone but found out he went to allopath for bladder infection. He was told that "men don't get bladder infections" but given antibiotics anyway. I am curious, do men get infections??

Oh that post made laugh, Lorna .

So is it fair to say that:
Men get bladder infections.......
while women also get bladder infections but are suspeptible to blabber infections, as well?

I'm not a nurse but I can assure you men suffer quite certainly from blabber infections...with at least as much frequency and ferocity as the blabber infections plaguing women.
