I noticed on the board that you recommended Pat to do a foundation course in homeopathy.
I would really like to do that, by correspondence, but there are so many 'colleges' advertising various courses, its hard to know what are good ones and not just after your money! Can anyone recommend a good course. Thanks. Vicky.

Hi Vicky,

Check out one option at

I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

Hi Vicky,

I too can endorse Misha Norland's school down in Devon.

Something worth investigating with any school is whether you can build on your foundation course should you wish to gain a diploma and practice (Homoeopathy is kind of addictive once you get into it). Things you might look for are its location if you ultimately need to do any attendance and (for the UK) whether it is registered with the Society of Homoeopaths, which, despite having a number of faults, does have a good college accreditaion scheme which allows you to transfer credits from one college to another. Last and by no means least do you like their philosophy and the people who run it, if you don't I wouldn't touch it with the proverbial barge pole.

Good hunting

Dave

Dear Vicky,

Go to www.alchemilla.com. Scroll down and click on Hahnemann Academy of North America. Scroll down again and click on
Online Store. There you will be able to purchase roughly 50 homeopathic seminars on tape--Robin Murphy's seminars. He is the only renowned homeopath in the world who makes his entire course available to the general public, no questions asked, no fees other than what the tapes cost, no pressure to take tests or learn something by a particular date or you'll be dropped from the
program. Moreover, you will love Robin Murphy--not an elitist, very down-to-earth,
the king of common sense, as I like to call him.

Sincerely,

Snoopy

Thank you to everyone for your suggestions. I have ordered a prospectus from Devon, and will certainly have a look at the site you suggested, Snoopy.
This is a wonderful site!
Vicky.

If you want some reading to do in the meantime, you could try:

An excellent source of information.

Hi Vicky,
I am on the British Institute of Homeopathy Diploma course. I think it's pretty good...and very flexible...you can take as long as you want to do it and they also provide e-mail tutors...
good luck with your studies
Kirsten
