Question

I'm wondering what I can do to get rid of wayyyyy too much body hair. Prior to my birth, my mother had a breast reduction which, at that time, was done with injections of testosterone. What they didn't know at the time is that one injection would have done the work of the 18 they gave her. My mother shaves every day just like a man, and I have to also. I have chin and neck hair, hair on my upper lip. My stomach is as hairy as a man's if I don't shave it. I also have an over abundance of pubic hair which I have to trim constantly. I am 42 years old, 5'3" tall and about 30 lbs overweight. I drink about 6 cups of coffee a day and smoke cigarettes. The nail on the ring finger of my left hand has some ridges. All other nails are fine. I prefer spicy foods, but have no particular favorites. Have a history of hypoglycemia in the past, but rarely have trouble with it now. I stay away from sugars for the most part and eat a diet rich in protein. I matured early, beginning my menses at 11 years. Was completely developed by 13. Have a very high sex drive and always have. Any help would be appreciated.

Dear Becki,

I would try a remedy called Medorrhinum,
based on the rubric in Murphy's Repertory:
Constitutions: Hair, hairy; plus the history of desire for sugar, and the high sex-drive.

You can order it from Ainsworth's Pharmacy--there should be a link at this web site--and I would order a 30C potency and I'd take it (2 pellets) once every 3 days until either an improvement is noticed or you feel worse, in which case you should stop the remedy.

Let us know what happens. There are other remedy possibilities if this doesn't work.

Sincerely,

Snoopy

Hi Snoopy,

I think Thuja will follow well after Med.

Also I read some where that Morgan Pure can be effective in some cases. What do you think?

Question

Thanks for the swift reply. I'm wondering if the remedy will affect the sex drive? This I DO NOT want to mess with. Thanks, Becki

Shashi,

I was back and forth between Thuja and Med, but Thuja tends to be secretive, and wouldn't tell us if she had a high sex drive.
Med is more likely to have this trait and talk about it.

It's too soon to know what may follow the med.

I've heard of this condition before and there's a scientific name for it but I couldn't tell you what it is. Obviously, it's the result of a hormonal imbalance, although the cases I've heard of were not iatrogenic like this one. As far as I know, there is no conventional treatment but that's not to say that the remedies won't work. The high sex drive is the result of excess testosterone and would probably be affected by appropriate treatment.

Thank you all for your replies. The condition is called hirsuitism Tomi. I agree that the high sex drive could be a comorbidity of the condition, and this is a concern because if it is, then it would naturally be reduced if the condition were reversed. Will have to think long and hard on this one. Thanks again for your help all. Becki

You can use Oleum-jex 3X three times a day for several days and then use wax strips to remove the hair without a lot of pain. Sometimes the hair does not return.
This can be repeated several times leaving a period of time between doing so.

However I would suggest you have your full case taken and then use your constitutional remedy to normalize the hormones. If you are a high sex drive person the remedy is not going to change this. It won't change what is normal. So don't worry.
