Please help. My newborn niece has developed blood blisters around her groin and mouth, and they are spreading. She is now exuding an orange fluid from her eyes, nose and mouth. She has been rushed to hospital, the Drs. think it may be septicemia, and are attempting to grow a culture from the orangey fluid, to see what it feeds on and what it will respond to, presumably antibiotics (ugh), they are trying to beat the clock as she is fading fast. Normal pregnancy & birth.
Any suggestions. Please. |

The orange colour gives phosporus as the correct remedy, phos LM one, one dose.
Lm might be given in water potency, sucussed, diluted, every tenth minute until a bettering shows. Hope sincerely you got help before it was to late. [ 27 April 2001: Message edited by: cib ] |

Dear CIB,
I can't find this symptom anywhere--orange discharges. Where did you find it? I know that phos. is in the rubric "Bleeding from all orifices" (the closest rubric I could find), but so, for instance, is anthracinum, which has a keynote of "Succession of Boils" or boil-like eruptions. Crotalus h. is also in that rubric and is listed for "blood boils". I'm just wondering how you know it's phos.? I'm wondering if we can assume that this might be a vaccine reaction? I mean, what else could have caused this? I wonder if we should be looking under "Ailments after vaccinations"? Snoopy |

Phos is blood streaked discharges, which when blended, it gives an orange colour fluid
A. Von Lippe, Keynotes: septicæmia of the newborn Arn., Bry., Chin., Hyos., Kali-P., Lach., Lyc., Op., Phos., Rhus-T. When Dr Sinha said Arn I had originally agreed for the trauma, however arnica is not for the weeping discharges, phos is appropiate when bleeding occurs and covers the case better. The lach that I mentioned is not suitable because there is no red colour discribed in this case. |

Dear cib
arnica and pyrogen are as good as intercurrent for such conditions . these medicines will certainly controll the haemolysis in septicaemia . It is an acute serious condition which may need more medicines further please don't waste time and must give these
