Main complaint: Stomach pains of crampy, cutting, colicky nature. They come on instead of hunger or before a BM. BM relieves pains totally. They are better (completely gone after..) for eating or drinking large amounts of water (as if exert pressure in the stomach from the inside out) worst at 5 - 6 a.m. This complaint came on after recovering buried traumatic childhood memories and grief over missed opportunities. (2 weeks ago) Mind/Emotions: Very impatient, irritable, cannot tolerate contradiction. Cannot think clearly during stomach pains, needs to concentrate to endure pain. Feels very sad, but doesn't feel the need to cry. Wants to be left alone. Stools: normal looking, light brown. Occasional diarrhoea, offensive smell, light brown color. Passing stool and/or flatus amel. stomach pains. Haemorrhoids: itchy, burning sensation at anus. Skin: Itching all over as if from hives (without rash) worse for pressure of clothes. Itch wanders when scratched to another location. Comes and goes during the day, worst in the evening or when sweating. Hands: Palms itch/burn on and off during the day, especially after pressure to hands (when carrying heavy box for example) Thanks for your help ![]() Claudia

yup, more info is needed here. Probably things you can't post such as the aspect of the remembered trauma, missed opportunity that triggers this individual's response.
Can only say it's psoric so I would not think of Carc. |

Dear Claudia,
I have a few questions. You say the stomach aches started after recovering traumatic memories. What was your response: fright? anger? humiliation? shame? Because, I would have to look up Ailments from ______, then see which of those cover the stomach pains and modalities. It's true that ignatia is kind of a common sense remedy to start with, also nat-m. for wanting to be alone. Here's another question. Did all the things you mention come after the recovering of traumatic memories? The itchy skin without eruptions? The hemorrhoids? Is there a time-line of events; like, first there were the hemorrhoids, then the itchy skin, then the traumatic memories, then the stomach problems? I've repertorized your symptoms, but there's no common thread, which is why I need this added information. Snoopy |

To all so far... thanks for the replies, I'm reading the MM entries as fast as I can
![]() Snoopy, The timeline is that the stomach pains came the very same day after the recovery of the memories and the itching of the skin and hands followed that after a few days. The hemorrhoids are "leftovers" from pregnancy and birth (child is 8 mths old) The feelings were very intense, the level of a 2 year old (about)- listed in order of intensity: -fear of death -heartfelt agony (pain) -grief -guilt -feelings of inadequacy (failure) I'll be glad to answer more questions if needed. Dear Claudia,
Thanks for the additional info. The hemorrhoids aren't really a part of the acute case. Have you tried ignatia yet? While the rest of us are thinking, you can be trying. The stomach pains and skin symptoms are acutes and should respond to an acute remedy promptly. If nothing happens with one remedy, just move on to the next. Try ignatia 30C 4 times a day for three days and if at the end of that time you've noticed nothing, try the next most logical remedy. The skin symptoms were the last to appear and as per Hering's Law, should be the first to leave. You have a peculiar skin symptom, which is, when you scratch, the itch moves to another place. That's a keynote of staphysagria, which probably makes sense for you. So, ignatia, staph.... I'll get back to you later, Snoopy |

Dear Snoopy,
I appreciate your input. It does confirm what I repped out and what it feels like. Today is my third day of Ignatia 30C (4 times a day) and I'll see how it goes. Staph. is next on my list too ! With the Ign. I'm a bit more upbeat and less sluggish than before, but the itching is still there, and so are the stomach pains. Claudia

Dear Claudia,
More upbeat, less sluggish...this is how the correct remedy works, from the inside out. Don't despair yet that the the physicals have not resolved. Remember Hering's Law. You might want to stop taking the remedy, as it has acted, and wait. If you relapse, start again. It is just possible that the itching is a separate acute and requires a separate remedy, like maybe staph., but, since ignatia has acted, I think you should stick with it for a while. Keep us posted, Snoopy |
