Question

Hello again!

My friend took 200c Rhus.Tox. for tennis-elbow at saturday. She repeated the dose at sunday morning. Now, she called me and told, that yesterday evening, and this morning, her eyes has been feeling itchy and there is also watery discharge. Could this be a healing process, and a sign that this was right remedy. Her personal profile is absolutely Rhus.Tox. What is going to happen next?!

Hi Aida,

From my limited knowledge as a student I would say that this could be part of the healing process in that stuff is coming out from the inside. It could it could be the remedy proving on her if she is sensitive as taking a double dose at 200c is quite strong.

Things to look for would be whether she has had this sort of itching before, and how she feels in herself. You say that she is very much Rhus Tox is this in the Mental as well as physical picture? Was the remedy given with constitutional intent or just for the tennis elbow?
One final thought I would certainly advise not taking any further repeats until things really settle down and the case can be re-appraised.
Take care
Dave

This may be a good sign only if it is following the direction of cure. Is it an old symptom returning or a current symptom getting worse? If it is a new symptom then chances are it is a proving or suppression of the injury.

I haven't seen too many constitutional Rhus-tox people. Could you give us some of the indications you used to arrive at this remedy?

Well she is restless person, who feels worse when she has been still for a while. When she wakes up at morning, she feels that her muscles don't work well. She likes the summer, and gets very bad mood when it's wet or dump weather. She is very active, allways doing something, and she is very good with her hands.

She is kind of shy when she has to speak public or only meet many new people at the same time. She has "coffe-cup"-neurosis, so she can't drink coffee (or anything else, she afraids that her hands start to shake) when with other people.

She is also very kind and protective to her children. She will give even her last money to her children if they need it. She is also "worrier", and thinks very much of other peoples (especially her loved-ones) problems, and gets very very sad when she hears about accidents.

She has history of gastroenteritis, and now this tennis-elbow which is so bad, that she may not be able to continue her work at kindergarten.

She has very good appetite, and she craves sweet foods, and also fat, which she is aggravated though when eats too much. She gets upset when she drinks coffee, but drinks it anyway. She is little over-weighted at the time, but she still looks like lightbuilded person.

I maybe should mention something about her personality towards her husmand too. She is kind of dominant, and she hates when her husband don't speak, or when she feels that she's not being taken seriously. She would like to travel, and she is very interested in foreign cultures, but because her husband isn't like that, she has to give up on those dreams.

I would like to say again, that she is VERY good with her hands, she makes beautiful things from clay and she has very much flowers and big garden she takes care of very well. She also have cats that she love.

I hope you will say something, because if Rhus isnät the right remedy, i would certainly like to know what is!

I also hope you understood my "finnish-english"

Davegreen!

If you say a double dose of Rhus tox will start proving its symptoms. Then where you will place the so called law of proving.

When drug will be given to a healthy person. It will produce some symptoms. When a patient having the same proving symptom. we will give that drug in the medicinal form in little quantity (potency)

But here in this case a double dose is also started proving. It is quite wrong.

In this case. Another disesae attacked on the patient while he is taking medicine for one disease. This is not the proving of Rhus tox in this case.

Dear DRMAS,

You clearly have a great and profound knowledge of homoeopathy, I wonder why your post failed to include some constructive help for Aida and her friend/patient?

Wouldn't sharing some of the healing potential of homoeopathy with others be a good thing to do?

Dave

Dear Aida,
Looking at the picture you provide I agree that Rhus Tox is a strong contender. Ruta might be worth considering, it does have an aggravation from fats that RT doesn't. I believe that the two can be differentiated most easily (they are very similar) by Rhus Tox being better walking out doors whereas Ruta tends to be worse.
One other thought is whether the intention here is to treat simply the presenting acute or are you/your friend looking for a more constitutional effect?

Dave

Dear Aida,

There are other two remedy shades are coming through but you have to confirm yourself after more questioning, i will just indicate:

1. Arg Nit
2. Pulsatilla

My first thoughts leading to calc c

Calc c is the complimentary of Rhus tox
-strong desire for sweets
-work is important to her; always doing something
-slightly agg after sleep ~ weakness of muscles
-doesn't like cold weather or damp
-shy, doesn't like to speak in public, / doesn't like to be observed
-slight overweight
-gets very sad when she hears about accidents
-problem with coffee
-worse with rich food ~ posible follow with lyco ~ sulph
-elbow ~ possible athritis
-sensation of inner trembling ~ she afraids that her hands start to shake

Mistake in above - omitted key desire to travel ~ calc p

She is kind of shy when she has to speak

DES FATS CALC P, DES SWEETS CALC P. She gets upset when she drinks

TAKING THE PULS PICTURE UNDERNEITH INTO CONSIDDERATION, IT GIVES TUBERCULINUM AS FIRST REMEDIE, SO GIVE SULP 12 FIRST THEN TUB 1M, ONE DOSE ONCE, CALC P WILL PROBABLY FOLLOW.

I would like to say again, that she is VERY
good with her hands, she makes beautiful things from clay and she
has very much flowers and big garden she
