Any help will be more than appreciated. Also, if you can point me to place where I can buy Homepathic medicines on the web. For someone, who is from India/has a book from Dr.Siddharthalankar, can you please look up Fistula and let me know what are the suggested medicines. Thanks and Regards |

First of all, many thanks to everyone who replied. Also, I apologize that I could not get back any earlier.
The details are as below- It started about 4-5 years ago with symptoms of Hemorrhoids. It was also diagnosed and and treated for that. But it never went away. Then a few years ago, there was an Abscess right at the end of spinal chord and above the rectum. It healed after it punctured itself. Then the Fistula developed after that and it has been bleeding regularly since last one year. The puss is constantly coming out of rectum. Every 10 days, there is painful swelling, and then it bleeds from the outside opening and swelling goes away for few days. When showed it to Physician and Rectal Surgeon, they suggested the operation. I was wondering if there are any specific medicines for these symptoms in Homeopathy, which can cure Fistula or help cure and recover after the surgery. Also, if you can recommend me a Homeo store on the web. Thanks again to everyone and any help will be highly appreciated. Best Regards |

Hoppitt, possibly you spotted some key that I missed, but to me it looks clearly Lach with the ten day periodicity. Blood and pus discharge is like Lach too.
Add that to fistula and it's only Lach, plus Lach covers the spinal abcess too. [This message has been edited by Anna Bryant (edited 19 February 2001).] |

Right Anna- I quickly checked the periodicity only on Cara remedy relationships and no rems listed for 10 days.Lach only mentioned on 14th day.
I still wouldn't rule out Calc Sulph though- it is a big fistula remedy with lots of pus. (not the miaow type !) ![]() [This message has been edited by Hoppitt415 (edited 19 February 2001).] |

Please do not have the surgery, if you can avoid it. I had similar surgery and what the surgeons won't tell you is that it WILL reoccur and reoccur. This is because they do not remove the disease, just the tissue, so the disease moves to another area. I had a total of 8 surgeries, all for the same thing just in different places within the rectal region. Try and stick with homoeopathic treatment if you can. Since finding homoeopathy, I have three internal fistulas, but there has been no infection, no pain, no blood, no pus for nigh on three years. In fact, I doubt very much they are still there at all. My infections had a periodicity, too. The two remedies that helped me were crot-h and naja, but these remedies also suited other factors involved in my health. These remedies will in all probability not suit you at all. They suited me because I also had problems with my colds in my throat and internal heat, etc. Perhaps you can provide those giving you advice here with more detail on the rest of your health in general. But I do suggest that you take good homoeopathic advice and stick with it. Regards, [This message has been edited by Simone (edited 21 February 2001).] |
