Just a word to add on to this interesting thread that the chronic picture surfaces clearer after the acute has subsided - perhaps the clearest moment to see the chronic and resume the constitutional treatment !

jshah, Aphorism 73 may even be easier to grasp. It says that acute diseases are generally a transient explosion of latent psora which spontaneously, in a moderate amount of time, returns to its dormant state. (Either that, mate, or you die.)
Aphorism 72 says chronic diseases have small, often imperceptible beginnings, and dynamically derange the organism causing it gradually to deviate from health. The vital force offers useless resistance and suffers itself to be more and more deranged until the organism is destroyed. These diseases are caused by infection WITH A MIASM. ------------------ Chris Gillen Member AHA (Australia) |

Yeah well put Ricky. I got complex about saying it because the previous posting from Dr Mas was unclear to me. The aphorism states that chronic diseases are the result of an infection BY A MIASM, which is different to just saying it's caused by infection. Would like to recommend "The Healing Art Of Homeopathy, The Organon of Samuel Hahnemann" by Edward Hamlyn,M.D. for an easy to understand English translation of the 6th edition.
