Question

My 8mo just got over his second ear infection but just like the last time he still has fluid in his right ear. I know it hurts because he's still rubbing it and because I have the same problem off and on. Before I had him I was taking herbal nettles to help dry me out and it really did help but since haveing him I"m reluctant to go back to it for fear of affecting my milk suply. Is there a homepathic that might help? I"m thinking more of him since he doesnt understand the pain. He's a chunky fellow, red hair, natural birth, allergic to cow's milk (gets a bleeding diaper rash if I drink any). Not a really outgoing guy but a real swetie once he gets to know you. Got his teeth early (he has 7 now) sat up early, crawls quite well for his age. Doesnt like baby food, he wants his Momma milk and really only likes rice, baby toast, saltine crackers, Cheerios and green beans (not mushed ones mind you, cut ones like his Big brother has on his plate.

Do you give your babe a pacifier/dummy? I read just the other day that these may contribute to increase in ear infections. If so it may help to remove the cause before treating with remedies/medication....

Try Kali Mur in tissue salts (6x), one daily for you. It's good for chronic ear infection and also covers the pain and right sidedness in your babe.

Ideally there would be more info, but given what there is I would say this infant has a Sulphur constitution. YOu might try Sulphur 30 one dose once only and report back.

Exclamation

If fluid remains that must mean there is a reason the fluid is not draining! Take him to a chiropractor. Do it now before he needs tubes in a year or so!!!!

Also, consider him giving up wheat products for a while.

Cool

I'd never do tubes anyway. We lived through 10 ear infections with my first w/o them . This is only Josh's second infection, he's doing alot better then his brother did. I could give losing wheat a try, but even his precious Cheerios have wheat flour in them... and they advertise them as a one grain cereal ;-( The generic ones have corn syrup too. That makes three grains in my book.
