Well, I guess the only test you could do "at home" is try and monitor your intake of milk products and their effects on you physically.
Try giving up milk products for a period of time--say, 4 to 6 weeks--and monitor again for any changes in energy levels, body function, and overall state of health. You may want to find some substitutes for milk products, such as almond milks or rice milks, while you do without dairy in general.

In the same condition in a patient, I tried Calc Carb cm one dose and she started improving. I don't know whether this remedy will help you either in your case as your case / symptoms are incomplete.

Dear all,
Thanks for all the responses, Let me explain a bit more. After the accupunture therapist had told me not to consume milk and dairy products including cheese, but had mentioned the yogurt may be ok but to consume less. I stopped all the dairy products including yogurt for 15 days and here are my observations - I used to suffer with acne with white head eruptions on my face and upper back for long and eventually my skin improved the complexion and became more smooth and glowing too. I am 30 years old now. - I am used to take just coffee with out any breakfast early in the morning with milk in it. Just with in 30 mins after consumption, i some how feel a little bloating kind of symptoms and also gagging feeling and if i just put a finger in my mouth, i will just vomit the coffee with out much effort. I also tried stopping coffee too. I felt better after stopping these but however did have uncontrollable cravings for coffee and also milk based products and especially yogurt. Preventing these products seem to give the results but not sure how should i go about getting my every day nutrients as i am a vegetarian Appreciate all for the inputs |

Hi poor guy,
Well, it is good that you noticed some change--but you really have to sustain your observation. It is quite an old truth that ANY change in diet causes tremendous change in energy levels and in metabolic processes. There are some vegan options you can learn about if you want to forego animal products like milk and eggs completely. This means changing your heavily milk dependent diet to one that is more solidly based on grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, grasses, and vegetables and fruits...or more, correctly, how to eat the right quantities and combinations of these foods to achieve the optimum nutrition you need.

What is it that you are trying to address....the acne?
Why did the therapist ask you to stop and what was the purpose of your visit. Post back or email me fur further help. I take it you are indian "sri@cheerful.com". If so you do have many options to replace milk in your diet. |

hi, I am also lactose intolerant and have experience in dealing with this. If your body is unable to cope with challenging foods such as stimulants (caffeine etc), animal foods, and probably fatty foods too, this may mean that your digestion is quite weak. I also had acne for years and I know that if I eat any of these types of food, my skin will erupt. I have found that the best method is to eat a gentle diet based on the foods that chacha mentioned. It's ok to cut down on protein for a short while. There's actually quite a lot of protein in grains and vegetables such as broccoli. If you combine something like chickpeas and rice, you get more protein than in meat. Mushrooms are a good food to combine with grains as they also form proteins.
Drink lots of water to get the toxins out of your body, aloe vera is also good to support healing of the digestive system. (basically the digestive system is weak, is unable to process challenging foods, this puts strain on the liver- which deposits toxins in the blood which pop up as acne) I know someone who is also lactose intolerant, and he mixed live yoghurt with water to make a drink, which when taken on a daily basis in small doses desensitised his system to the lactose. You couold try that. And if you give in to temptation or unknowingly eat something with dairy in, take arsenicum 6 which could act as an antidote. Don't rely on this though! If you want anymore advide please email me, I have lots of info on this matter having been through the whole thing myself! nic x |

Okay, let's not leave out the homeopathic option here...
if you go and see a qualified homeopath and receive proper treatment using classical homeopathy, the lactose issue should not persist. Food sensitivities can be completely cured with homeopathic treatment.
