Hi Papaloco, I had the same problem as you, completely unable to drop off without some type of inducement, and completely run down during the day. Firstly I took a look at my diet, cut down on junk food which contains stimulants (substitute for untreated organic foods), and also stopped drinking diet pops and anything laden with 'e' numbers. I don't drink coffee after 4 o clock. I also take high potency ginseng to increase my energy, every day, gingko biloba to improve my concentration and brain power, and multivit with extra vitamin C to help flush out the toxins. Just the simple stuff can have a big effect. You'll find that with less '****' in your diet, and more of a balance within your body due to the supplements, sleeping will be easier. And you'll never get a cold. Takes a month or two but you'll notice the difference I guarantee. If you can, see a homeopathist who can prescribe you something that will correct the imbalances for good. This is just self-help stuff that you can start right away. It does take a few months to get back into a normal sleeping pattern, I still smoke and drink a little bit, as long as its not to excess that's perfectly fine I reckon!

good luck

Have you tried Kombucha? It's very good for de-toxing and works well with Homeopathic remedies.

Hi, Does anyone have a recommended natural drug that I can take. My problem being I cannot seem to have any enthusiasm or focus to get anything done. After work everyday I am extremely tired and not in the mood to do anything(unless I drink alcohol or smoke weed). I don't even feel like reading. Recently, due to my cold, I started taking Tylenol Flu and am now hooked on it. It calms me when I'm tired and I'm able to focus(I read for about 3-4 hours every evening). I'm looking for a natural herb that will give me the same feeling of relaxation so that I can kick my alcohol and drug habits. I heard of St. John's Wart. Any thoughts? Thank you very much and this is not a joke.

Plase see a local professional classial homeopath who will take a full case history and prescribe a remedy for you as an individual.
You may need Nux Vom but it could be many other remedies.

Thanks you guys for your advise. Unfortunately num vox is not available in the US(I did call around). The kambu solution is quite facinating and I will research that furthur. The ginseng/vitC/ginko solution seems like something I can dive into immediately. The truth being, I have been drinking/smoking very heavily for about 15 years. I've always enjoyed painkillers and anything that puts my mind in a different dimension. I now realize its time for me to give all that up, but when I don't do any of this stuff, life is too mundane. I need to switch my focus so I can get "high on life". Thanks again for all you replies

It's not num vox it's nux vom! I think it is also known in the US as columbrina.

Seems like a very good idea for you, but as Ricky also mentioned, you need to consult a pro' for proper homoeopathic treatment.
