GENERALITIES, Convulsions, spinning/turning to the left (counterclockwise) (KENT'S REPERTORY, p. 1355)

Rubric not found.

What really irritates me in such situations is that I know I've seen an old case mirroring this and of a horse.

Is why I so much look forward to the new materia medica and repertory from the G.H.G. Jahr Institut (sic).

The dog was gone on friday.

Will find out this morning, monday, what happened to it, for the dog pound has not been open to the public over the holiday weekend.

It's probably been put down, but I thank those who attempted to help and those with sympathy but no suggestions.

Crossed fingers that I can come home with the dog tomorrow.

Good night!

In the meantime why not go through the general rubric and do your own search of all the remedies in your Materia Medica sources.
If you do take ownership of the poor dog, it is not unlikely he will have more occurences. So, better to be prepared...

Good luck.

Albert! Whew, I was concerned when you hadn't posted back....that I'd given a bad *prescription* ....that you'd stolen the dog and were now serving time in jail! (Been arrested for this type of thing a few times but never jailed for it, so far.) Glad that isn't the case.

I have a feeling you're assumption is correct but if he is still alive and you can gain possession, I'm sending by private email a list of rubrics for you to look over. It's a bit long to post here and may prove of no value

Albert, the rubrics were mailed to you using the two mail options on the BB. Hopefully, one will get through. Have you any news?

The animal disappeared about a week ago.

The pound did not put him down, and the vet ER did not see him.

He was probably put down in private practice.

I despised the people before this for leaving this dog out in freezing cold w/out shelter, and I want them dead now, so I have not asked what happened to the animal.

Much thanks for the assistance.

I acquired Belladonna 200c, but it came too late to try.

----------

For future reference, gpm supplied me the following cumulative rubrics for turning in circles from Knerr (i.e., the repertory to Hering's 10-volume Guiding Symptoms), Boeinghausen, Allen and Boericke. Much thanks to her for that, and knowing these are here will hopefully help somebody later:

My sympathies as well.

You can read the Kansas anti-cruelty statutes here
http://www.animal-law.org/statutes/kansas.htm

Especially note 21-4311 for future reference. In my experience in another state, showing up at the county attorney's home on a weekend produced immediate and dramatic action. A whole puppy mill was raided the same night and the dogs removed to a humane society shelter. These people are paid public servants. Don't be afraid to cite the law and demand it be enforced.

A couple of more points. If possible, use a camcorder to document your complaint before you contact the local authorities. By doing so, you are handing them evidence on a silver platter as well as proving you are not a nutcase or someone pursuing a personal vendetta. You are also tacitly putting the authorities on notice that you take the matter very seriously, seriously enough to take it to the next level if necessary, i.e., a local TV station, newspaper, city council, mayor, county commissioners, etc.

The goal of all elected officials is to stay in power. This means keeping the populace soothed. They will go to great lengths to avoid bad press or controversy. The more local the issue, the easier it is to get favorable action, be it animal welfare, getting new sidewalks, better police respponse, real property tax assessment reduced, etc. Once you apprehend this fact, it gives you a very real sense of empowerment. You really can fight city hall and win, often astonishingly easily.

The flip side of this is to reward those who respond. Write a thank you letter to the person and to their supervisor. Write a letter of praise to the editor of your local paper. When the elected official is up for reelection, offer to put one of their yard signs on your front lawn. If you can afford it, donate $50 to their reelection campaign. Local officials really do appreciate and remember even these small donations. These kinds of things will pave the way for future cooperation.
